When this current situation the world is suffering from ends should the Country responsible be held accountable for the deceptive practices that endangered the World. It seems to me that any country that endangers all the other Nations on our planet due to a lack of response and a lack of accurately sharing information must be held accountable for their actions, the question is how to do it. War is not the answer, because it will only cause many more deaths, along with spreading more disease.

 Economic sanctions against China will also not really work since they are one of the largest manufacturing powers globally, unless the rest of the world could join together and pick the slack left behind. The purpose of this thread is to explore possible ideas on how to deal with this situation. Because if they are allowed to continue in the manner they have, things will only get worst so this behavior of deception and dishonesty can no longer be tolerated.

I have no problem with these links, my problem is directed at inaccurate information coming from China that didn't tell the rest of the World how bad things had become before it was too late. For instance the Chinese Government didn't allow the WHO access to Wuhan until almost a month after the first reports came out of China. I am not saying that this is not a naturally occurring Virus because I beleive it is. What I am saying is in reality the first known cases were reported in November, and by the time the World was notified the Virus was already out of China's control.

It's immpossible to have a rational conversation with third eye whenever the Chinese goverment is mentioned. He spasms out or something.

As for OP, I have no idea what sort of "punishments" would work. I just wish their goverment would understand that trying to hide these things hurt EVERYONE.

Novel simply means new, which has little or nothing to due with hiding the fact that the Virus was overwhelming a city, or about waiting to long to take the appropriate actions.

I can't fault him for National Pride, on most things we agree and his opinion here doesn't change my respect for him at all.

Allegedly not.

On one hand China took extreme measures to stop the virus that no democratic nation would ever do. Military quarentine of cities. Door to door military testing , etc. Which probably stopped the spread alot.

On the other hand China kicked alot of journalist out of China and have had highly suspect reporting practices, so it's hard to totally trust the reported numbers.

Currently there are still cases being reported just to a much smaller extent. So hopefully a second outbreak does not take off and the virus gets stomped out.

They did take extreme measures to stop the Virus, the problem is they waited too long to do so. This won't be the last Pamdemic we will see, its only the beginning of what is going to come. Where the next one happens can not be predicted, we can only hope that it will be handled differently.

All I can think is some sort of global pandemic alliance response force (lol). Sort of like NATO but for pandemics.

The agreement would be that each member nation's sends experts, doctors, and supplies, once a virus is reported on a member nation.

Maybe the incentive of mass help would encourage the Chinese goverment to report as early as possible.

Though WHO may already serve a similar function to what I mentioned.

Yeah it's highly suspect.

Also it spread all around Hubei province, and a little to the surrounding proviences, think of it as a state not one city.

Your right the WHO does serve that function, and they should be the point where a Global response starts. But they have to be invited to the country experiencing the problems, but that wasn't the case here. They weren't allowed into Wuhan until the Virus was out of control, it just doesn't make any sense.

I tend to agree but... they ' ve been eating shi....t for centuries and nothing had mutated until now. What if someone wants to witheld China accountable for this and create a new mondial order ... w/o China? ;)

Besides are you aware that domestic cats have also been infected with CoVid since 70's , again never mutated? 

If something bad related to food had to happen I would expected to start in Thailand.
