A Chronicle of Time Travelers Caught on Film

Recommended Posts

19_Kilo

Some of you have seen most of these before, but for those who haven't,  I submit the following series of alleged time travelers caught in photgraphs, for a bit of Friday night entertainment. Make of them what you will.

For my money, the "surfer" is the only mildly intriguing one.

Anyway, enjoy....

Exactly, most of this nonsense is photo shopped.

None of the photos are shopped. They all do, however,  have logical explanations for them and do not in fact depict time travellers. But, no, they've all been around way before Photoshop was available.

Hope this helps.

The “dabbing soldier” one is odd, no one else in frame is posing OR reacting to his actions, normally you’d see someone at least looking at him.

The biggest problem with these "time traveler' pics, is that, like EVP's, they tell you what the image represents, thereby influencing your perception of the picture.  "OMG! Look at this woman with a cel phone.... in a 1923 picture!!!!!"

You have already been 'primed' to see a cel phone, and tend to disregard any other explanation.

Police interrogators know this, and try not to lead the witness by putting words into the witnesses mouth.

"Ma'am, can you guess how fast the blue truck was going when it smashed into the car?"  is a leading question. It plants the idea that the truck was blue, and that it was travelling at a high rate of speed.

I just found out that the dabber pic was taken from the set of the movie "Dunkirk."

Hmm..I thought those soldiers looked a bit too well scrubbed and well fed.  LOL

My gods those are all just rampagingly stupid.

The world cup photo just adds insult to injury because not only can you clearly see that the so-called "cell phone" is at least 3 inches thick, the photographer to the right of the trophy holder is even wearing a vertical camera of similar make. (both along the lines of a Rollieflex)

Not only that, a number of them are dependant on the notion that "X didn't exist back then, so hey doesn't that guy look weird?", playing on the viewer's preconception of X as a completely modern contrivance, which it turns out it isn't.
