Anyone know what the second explosion was in Washington?  I remember news reports that day which said there had been a second explosion heard in the area but there mixed confusion about the cause.  Some news agencies said the explosion was a car bomb at the State department, while others said the second explosion was at the Pentagon, and I remember somebody said it was just the sonic boom of a fighter jet.

 

You can hear the second explosion in this video when Rep. Porter Goss was speaking about an hour after the Pentagon was hit.
