This culling will make the entire species stronger as strength is what is needed to perpetuate the species (i.e. natural selection).

Good to see you doing your bit to prove wrong those ignorant liberals that equate American Conservatives with Nazis.

Survival advantage in whatever form it takes is what is needed to perpetuate the species, not strength per se, .  In our case, it seems to have been intelligence.  Gorillas and Chimpanzees are a lot stronger than humans, but I don't notice that they dominate the world.

And, to a significant extent, the development of a culture and society that amongst other things, cares for and protects the young, weak, disabled, old (and unlucky, for that matter...), and works hard on things like health, disease prevention and treatment...  Cynically, you could say that we only do that as there are very significant advantages to our society, but I'd like to think there was some simple morality in there too.

Ravenhawk obviously disagrees..

The media and the Dems walk hand in hand.  Accusations are made against Trump every day.  He naturally uses his press time to defend himself.  If they were civil to him, he would respond likewise.  They attack him, so he attacks back.  You could actually say the main stream media is effectively part of the Democratic campaign and each time Trump steps into that press conference he is the main target of attack.  Everybody knows 9/10 times of the questions are designed to be negative, suggestive, and insulting.  Unfortunately many of the reporters don't have any integrity in journalism  e.g.  Treat others the same way they themselves would like to be treated.  Trump picks up on key words in their questions and can tell immediately when a reporter is setting him up for a trap, e.g.  A hypothetical scenario - Trump is told by his advisors about a potential cure in the making and he tells the media all about it.  The reporters then reply sarcastically with "Mr. President you claimed there is a cure." and their choice of words would be designed to twist around what he said out of context to attack him, and this would cause him to roll his eyes and think to himself "not another idiot" and then he would respond with - "You're a terrible person.  I did not claim there is a cure, our medical specialists relayed the information they had to my advisors, and they informed me that there potentially could be a cure in the making, so Mr. reporter get your facts right.  I did not 'claim' there 'is' a cure.  I was told by my advisors that there might be a cure in the making."  If the reporter was unbiased and had a shred of integrity he would have worded his question properly e.g. "Mr. President you have been told about a possible cure.  Could you be more specific please?  Thank you."  Sadly not in today's world.   So we end up with each press conference turning into a continuous back and forth attack and defend pantomime.

trump can't help it. he is a flawed human.  a total sociopath. a pathological liar.  and an idiot.  so he just can't help it.

It really doesn't matter either way folks we had a short time to circle around this virus and stop it from spreading and we didn't and I mean we as in everyone in the world. Unlike other flu viruses this one can bounce around and take longer to show symptoms and in some people never show the first symptom and yet they can just carry it and pass it along to the next person. It's here now and it's going to run it's course until we find a cure for it and a vaccine to prevent folks from catching it. Social distancing is only going to do so much and for so long you can't just shut down the planet. I was just looking at projections of it that some are saying could keep this virus up and going until 2024 that's a long time. As contagious as this one is I'm not thinking it's going to take that long. But I don't think this is going to go away in a year. Trump messed up listing to the World Health Organization those people are nothing but a joke and he's doing right not sending them anymore of America's money. The virus I don't think came from no fish market yes that place is nasty and needs to be kept under control. But this virus I strongly believe was brewed up in a lab in China and got out of containment. I don't think it was done on purpose but I do think China knows this or they wouldn't have put the effort they have into controlling information.

no just the opposite. I think we were great before Trump. We are not a banana republic being run by a cult.

I think the USA was great in many eras.  Including under the Clinton, Bush, Obama and Trump admins.

Can always be better though.

Is that meant to be funny?  Even if it's a joke (oh how we laughed...), it kinda sums up the problems in the US in just one sentence..

RoofGardner is not from the US.
