Still Waters Posted April 24, 2020 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2020 One person tried to stock up on broken biscuits at the supermarket with a couple of children’s TV presenters, only to be pursued by an angry mob. Another accidentally tore up all of the artist Jasper Johns’s work, before being chased out of the exhibition by an enraged 80s dance troupe. A third climbed into a plane to escape a collapsing building, realised there was no pilot – and decided he could just hide in the toilet. These are just a few of the vivid dreams people have been having during lockdown, according to a research project by an independent group of postgraduate psychoanalysis students in London. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2020/apr/19/last-night-i-was-james-bond-the-vivid-world-of-lockdown-dreams Quote Fears around the pandemic are causing sleep patterns to change and strange dreams to linger in people’s memories. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/insomnia-and-vivid-dreams-rise-pandemic-anxiety-180974726/
freetoroam Posted April 24, 2020 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2020 This is what can happen when there are changes in lifestyle. As long as people realise it is the changes which are causing these vivid dreams and why, instead of thinking they have a special gift or are seeing the future. Quote Our minds are obviously reaching out to try and make something from the little stimuli we’re receiving being locked down, and bringing up things we’ve completely forgotten about. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2020/apr/19/last-night-i-was-james-bond-the-vivid-world-of-lockdown-dreams The above is an example of what we have seen on here, people dream of something they had completely forgotten about or did not even know it was stored in their subconscious memories. Vivid dreams are not new, so the fact there are more people having them is certainly no surprise, I wonder how many think they are having out of body experiences now?
