Oxford Capacity test

Recommended Posts

TrumanB

An acquaintance of mine is providing analyses of test. So I did it for some small amount of money and I was provided with graph and report of my strengths and weaknesses. It's a very useful test, I recommend it to the forum community.

I see that they have also a web site but not sure if it provides full analysis for free.

Scientology Tru????? Really????

This has nothing to do with the real Oxford. It's another L.Ron Con.

Why? You might be personally spammed by Tom Cruise or John Travolta.

Even get yourself a autographed copy of 'Battlefield Earth'. The stupidest scifi movie with the stupidest aliens ever made. :nw:

this is your bias.

Test gave me good results ( in sense that they resemble my traits, even things that wasn't fully aware of ).

yes, the test gives different results/descriptions from what is stated in WP page.

for example, this is nonsense:

We've had a look at their tests and if you didn't know better, they look credible ... These tests are saying people are acceptable or unacceptable, but really there's nothing in them to allow you to draw that kind of conclusion. It's the interpretations that are bogus — they are drawing arbitrary conclusions that simply aren't warranted.[22]

This test doesn't say that people are acceptable or unacceptable.

It was used to say that.

And it's a bloody half backed test with no scientific merit.

Going to a a therapist is a much better way to explore and discover things about yourself that you aren't aware of.

- The accuracy of this test is probably as good as the weekly horoscope in the same. The test has absolutely nothing to do with reality, other than producing a result that may make a gullible person buy a course.

It was pretty accurate in my case, much more than weekly horoscope for sure. For example, I had 90 points in stability which is similar to some other online tests that I did where I am described as stable too.

Horoscopes hit sometimes too.

well, this whole test was a 'confirmation bias' then. And it hit where I didn't expect too. Try it yourself!

I'm not giving the Church of Scientology my personal info.

Especially since my group is on their hit list.

The Scientology header was an immediate deal breaker.

An organization that believes we were created by ETs on a bet and experiment?

Hard pass, amiga.

Yep. Horoscopes do hit occasionally.  Like that time in my college Psych class where a full 70% of us scored the scopes our proff gave us as "Partly to Highly accurate."

Then he told us he gave us all the same scope.

Ouch.

That is how they recruit, by giving personality tests, now a psuedo iq test.  They are looking for addicts.  That is who they recruit.  So now you know, Tom Cruise is an addict, now addicted to the praise that he gets from scientology

I'm reading this book based on Hubbard's Tone scales teaching. It's very interesting stuff. Author claims that we can correctly judge people based on this scaling method.

He also claimed that when we die we float around looking for a pregnant woman to follow around so we can have a new body.

I've just finished reading How to choose your people. An interesting read, I'll try to scale people as per instructions in future period.
