All of them sound familiar but at the time, I only knew about this one:

Well its good to see Ted Cruz can go nuclear when he has his posse around.  I was beginning to wonder if he could when candidate Trump called his wife ugly and accused his father of being a conspirator in the Kennedy Assassination.  Then of course even the President called him Lyin' Ted.

Here is a shocker from some of us liberals, we don't give a fig if former and current administration officials are indicted and charged.  In fact, a lot of us would be in favor of cleaning both parties out of both houses of Congress  and starting fresh with term limits and no lobbyists.  A lot of us would be in favor of dismantling the surveillance and eavesdropping culture that collects data  on all citizens not just those suspected of a crime. When members of the current administration say taxpayers don't need to know where they spent our $500 billion dollars and are asking us for $3 trillion more on top of everything else, I would say the swamp has gotten too deep even for a tall man to hold his head above the slime line, unless he is standing on Ted Cruz's shoulders.

Pretty sure Cruz is posturing for a 2024 candidacy run.

Ironically even though I am not Republican,  have never voted Republican, (In my opinion) he would have beat Hillary last cycle also and generally tweets less offensively than the current president...

He might have done.  If he had, I think he would have had a much quieter and more productive presidency.

That’s an interesting thought.  In 2016, I was drawn to Trump and Cruz.  I thought Cruz was capable to be President but he exhibited too much of a “Kinder and Gentler” Republican.  That is not a desirable thing.  What was needed to deal with the Left is a bulldog, which we have.  “Kinder and Gentler” is easy game for the Left.  I’m pretty sure Pence will run too.  It would be interesting to see if either follow in Trump’s shoes, and not give the Left any breathing room.  That’s the only way to play the game.  They are great in the roles they are now, but I think they may be too weak to be the chief executive.  On the other hand, unless the Left presents something new in 2024, a Pence/Cruz ticket would probably easily carry the day against the Left’s usual suspects.

I would have to disagree, only Trump could beat Hilary.  She was too nasty.  And she manipulated a rigged system.  Cruz would have never gotten such wide support to beat her.  She had her cities locked in.  Only the entire country could have beaten her and that’s what happened.

GNA go out on a limb here and say:

John Bolton has something big coming

and,

It's not the release of his tell-all book.

Stay tuned

There were a couple of million Democrats who did not vote or voted 3rd party because they could not stand Hillary.   A few left the party for good because of her. Some of them would have voted for Cruz.  And, he would still have had the Republican advantage in the EC.

OK, I guess we will wait.  Maybe you got us a pony this Christmas instead of all of those empty threats and promises.

I have no idea what AH is referring to but he doesn't make a habit of cryptic predictions so I'm willing to watch and wait.  One thing is certain, when a former National Security staffer with close access to the President, writes a tell all book while that President is still in office, he/she is political filth and deserves whatever comes to him.  That said, his little tell-all tome may have leaked a few too many juicy details and his legal counsel may have been sub-par.  No worries, he has a 2 million dollar advance to hire better legal help ;)

Bolton has never been a hero. Well, if he thought the president was a danger to America, he could have said something earlier.  His book now seems like revenge and money.  If that is all it is, he could have waited.

Care to guess why he didn't wait?  IF he put Classified details out into the public, by ANY means, that will open him up to serious charges in a Federal court.  I notice that no one who supports Democrats has come forward to defend the protection of classified documents.

She wouldn’t have needed those millions to defeat Cruz.  I love Cruz.  He is great as a Senator.  He’s a bulldog on committees, but he doesn’t have what it takes to be a President these days.

No, he wouldn’t.  Only Trump could have broken the Blue wall.  As it is, only 3 sitting Senators have become President.  But then only 5 have been elected President without having been elected to public office.

Yeah, because he is a bitter, angry, small man who does not like to be shamed, humiliated, or proven wrong.  He was not trying to assist the country, only vindicate himself.  I think even making money was second..

I think there is a general consensus that divulging classified information can result in prison at the very least.  I have not heard any one lauding his performance.   You can peg this on the Democrats if you want, they are likely to say something stupid before it is over.

At this point, we can assume that President Trump and his administration are qualified to handle the situation and would not want any Democratic assistance.  Certainly Pelosi , Schumer, and Schiff  should keep their mouths shut.  No bets from me.

It should be up to the AG  to press the case.  Either the information was classified, it was all lies, or it was not classified.  Barr and his team can handle that.

Personally, I think Bolton has always been a war monger and not  trustworthy to carry out best US  policy.  I was happy that President Trump had been able to avoid military conflict.   I won't kid you, that was the thing I though best of him.  I was worried when Bolton joined the administration.  On the bright side, President Trump got rid of him again WITHOUT entering into a world conflict.  That is good for the US.

Maybe you are right there.  For the first two weeks or so, I thought  I might support Trump for the reason many people did.  He was an outsider and I was sick of both parties in government.

Not that you care, but after a few appearances, I got the feeling that he knew most about salesmanship, was mean, insincere and really did not have much of a plan.  I know you disagree with that.

Bolton can be pretty much dismissed.

Quote

...

In June 2019, Iran had shot down an unmanned American drone, and Bolton, who has always championed what he proudly calls “disproportionate response,” pushed Trump to approve a series of military strikes in retaliation. You can sense Bolton’s excitement when he describes going home “at about 5:30” for a change of clothes because he expected to be at the White House “all night.” It’s therefore an awful shock when Trump decided to call off the strikes at the very last minute, after learning they would kill as many as 150 people. “Too many body bags,” Trump told him. “Not proportionate.”

Bolton still seems incensed at this unexpected display of caution and humanity on the part of Trump, deeming it “the most irrational thing I ever witnessed any President do.” ...

It's almost as if Bolton is taking one for the team.

No criticism here bee, just interest at your many facets.  Did you not view Bolton as a Crusader against the global communist one world government?

A whole two weeks, wow!  You must not have been that sick of both parties.  I am!  And as long as there is one ounce of Socialism in either of them, I will be sick of them both.  What did you think it would take to fix that sickness in the parties?  Having a “Kinder, Gentler” nation is not the way.  That is giving into the Bureaucracy.  Fundamental Change is not the way.  That leads to Socialism.  You need a lion to come in and rip things up.  Cut out the poison and let the Republic heal.

Not that you care, but after a few appearances, I got the feeling that he knew most about salesmanship, was mean, insincere and really did not have much of a plan.  I know you disagree with that.

I had that feeling long before he ran.  He *IS* a salesman.  *ALL* Presidents are salesmen.  Just not every President sales Americanism.  Obama comes to mind.  You better believe Trump is mean!  We have enemies that need to be challenged and others taking advantage of us, many our so-called allies.  We need meanness to confront all of that.  He is very sincere.  He’s tackling things that other Presidents didn’t have the courage to do or the willingness to take on.  He does have a plan.  But if you’re wanting a detailed description of a plan, I don’t think you’re going to find it.  I wouldn’t trust anyone that does.  These situations are volatile and for that you need a dynamic thinker that can adjust to the needs at hand.  Trump does that very well.  He knows what he wants and he usually gets it.  Like Lincoln, it’s hard to find the right combination for a team of rivals.  There’s normally a lot of confusion.

Two weeks and some research.  I am still sick of both parties, but we have slightly different triggers.

It takes resolution, intelligence, and courage.  It doesn't take mean.  5th grade kids can be mean.   Hillary is mean.   You had some pretty logical points in the wall discussion.  I was looking for  a determined general with a plan to protect our borders yet still enhance our country.  Growing up in Texas, I had a lot of childhood friends of Mexican extraction.  There was no need to vilify people to protect our border.  There is no need to still have kids in chain-link cages.   A high tech country on its game could have had them all at home, wherever it was they came from,.  Donald Trump was not a general, he was a car salesman selling the latest model of True Hyperbole with big fins and a shiny paint job that never made it out of the lot.

It takes courage in convictions.  Why would I believe that  a man is right if he does  not have the courage to believe himself?  With the President it is all excuses and back-peddling.  He takes no responsibility for any action or statement..

All presidents are salesmen.  Most of them sell a vision of America, Donald Trump just sells himself.

You are sweet to be so faithful and believing  but President Trump is not like Lincoln.  He is fixated on himself not the good of America.  President Trump was not looking for a team of rival experts, he was looking for non-troublesome yes men.  He is weeding out anybody that looks too competent

Trump and his platoon have been drumming on about it for months.

They have waited. They have waited while the left have their pop with fake news, a fake impeachment, and 101 other fake allegations. Now the election approaches its time for some payback lol.

The thing is the server is missing, probably chucked into a furnace somewhere by now. But, with so many people being under subpoena all it takes is for them to gain leverage over one of them or find one that is disgruntled. Then offer them a deal to avoid prison for their information and it all comes tumbling down.
