If fewer people die, then what is the harm in giving it a try?  Protecting life should be every government's principle objective.

This shows a level of naivete that sums up why most on the Left support gun control.  They believe the "government" is supposed to protect them from dangers in life.  They take little or no responsibility.  Our Founders weren't idiots.  They created a strong second amendment and wrote about their reasons for that in the Federalist Papers.  They clearly viewed governments not as a solution but as THE PROBLEM.  2A was intended to give the People the right to throw off tyrannical government when it reared its head.  If you're interested in understanding their thought processes, I'd recommend reading the Federalist Papers.

In short, government's - ALL GOVERNMENTS - principal objective is to amass greater and greater power at the Federal level.  They make it more clear with every passing year.  If you are happy with your government then I applaud you.  Over here we have a different context and relationship with them.

I thought this would be germane to this discussion since I believe this is the greatest danger America faces from COVID-19:

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/house-democrats-new-coronavirus-relief-bill

Remember that the House of Representatives has not been in session for weeks and Pelosi wrote this bill with no input from the other side of the aisle. This is purely political and she knows that when (IF) Republicans stand against such fiscal insanity then attack ads blaming them and Trump for everything from virus deaths to hangnails will be possible.

She thinks America needs another 3 TRILLION DOLLARS in "aid".  These people are playing very dangerous games and I don't think they are stupid.  I think they're willing to collapse the economy in hopes of getting rid of Trump and believe the added bonus of being seen as the answer to the economic devastation will help them force Socialism on the nation.  These people are EVIL.

I could recommend a neighborhood or two where I'd like to see you try this approach.  Be sure to have an armed escort in case the locals don't take to it right away.

It would have to come from those who perpetuate the lies; Religious leaders at the top like the pope, freemasonry, the ‘bankers’ government officials, CIA, MOSSAD, et al and the deeply hidden ones as well. I don’t claim to have the truth, but I am aware of some of the many lies — and omissions — we’ve been fed for millennia.

I don’t expect it to happen, but it would be nice.

That is Not genetic it is taught and usually no one says it out loud, actions speak louder than words.  How did your male authority figure treat your female authority figure?  I am betting it was constant denigration and belittlement, and it was not talked about, it was just acted out.

I grew up without any male authority figures in my life.  I just noticed that men held the top government and industrial jobs at the time and that physical tasks were mainly carried out by men.  It just seemed to be a natural way of thinking that men were superior.  e.g.  Father went to work and mother was a housewife.  Imagine a stereotypical 1950's family.  That was pretty much my family until I moved out and then they divorced.

Thank you.

Do you identify with any religion?  Were you raised in a religious teaching?  Any influence?

The Abrahamic religions are in there essence malevolently violent, misogynist  and war mongering.  Albeit at times somewhat occult — Hidden.

Subliminal influence.

Family has mixed religion.  They couldn't decide which to raise their kids with, so we ended up not following any.  I grew up to abide the 10 commandments and that was pretty much as far as my religious studies got to and I was almost bottom in my class at school (got an F in my exams), although religious studied in the 1990's was mostly about the morality of birth control and abortion.  I found the topic uncomfortable so I did not pay attention and spent most of my time in class just staring out the window and watching the clouds gently roll by as the clock ticked away to home time.

If you didn't have a father figure then it was not a stero-typical 50's family.  I suspect your mother taught you to think that way and you saw evidence of it in society.  I grew up in the same time period and I saw it socially but was taught that some things will change and we have to be ready for it and speak up about it.  Of course my perspective was from a female being raised by an angry misogynist father and an absent mother.  I saw the destructiveness of thinking men are superior, destructive to both genders, not just women.  I'm glad that the women you dated taught you better.  A lot of men would not have allowed that and would have only dated women who supported their perspective.

No  shame in an F.  Shows you can think for yourself and are willing to reject educational programming. I was expelled from Catholic school when I was eight.

The Ten Commandments — Deuteronomy 5 — from the tribal war lord god of the Jews only apply to the Israelites.  Did you know this?

I font care for violence in film or television either.  I feel the same about gore, horrors and sexually explicit media as well.  I despise TV and have done do since I was a kid.  I’ve always found advertising extremely annoying — and fake.

My dad laid down some house rules, so I guess that could be regarded as male authority, but I rarely saw him as he worked late and came home just for dinner and went to bed.  Never saw a reason to disobey him.  In that respect I guess he could be considered an absent authority figure.  The fear of thinking he might yell at me without him ever needing to was enough to keep me in line.  My mother is old fashioned, but rarely gave me advice on how men and women are supposed to treat each other.  I grew up watching period dramas like Upstairs Downstairs but also modern sitcoms at the time like Married with Children.  Both I guess have good and bad examples of how each family member behaves.  I may have picked up a few habits from each, but at the time I rarely understood what any of it meant.  This is why I believe it may simply be genetic, or at least there is some kind of instinct or behaviour that is buried in our subconscious.

No, you said it when you said your mother was old fashioned.  She did not have to say anything, just you watching how she acted is what trained you.  It is NOT genetic.  Dyslexia is genetic (or usually), curly hair and blue eyes are genetic.  Attitudes are taught.

No regrets - well maybe a few.  I knew about the Israelites and the commandments given to them, but I personally interpret the Bible's meaning in a more metaphorical light e.g.  I don't consider Israel as a place or people.  I see it as a state of mind that is within all of us.  It's not physical to the touch.  I interpret the importance of the Jews as simply the carriers of the message of the Lord.  They were on a journey of struggle and hardship and were in some ways behaving like lost sheep.  They needed a shepherd and a road to follow which led to their salvation.  I don't personally believe they have any superior rights because everyone on this Earth is equal in the eyes of the Lord.  Sadly the books of the Bible and other religious teachings having been hijacked over the centuries and turned into violent occults.  I personally don't believe in organized religion because it does more harm than good.  A simple understanding about the meaning of life is all that is needed.

When I say old fashioned I mean - house wife who loves to bake and does not engage in modern day social and antisocial activities e.g. parties, dancing, drinking etc.  According to wiki personalities and behaviours can be passed through genetics.  My sister likes to search for her ancestry and we were amazed how frequent the same career path choices were made by cousins who lived in opposite ends of the world.  Similar to how twins behave and their personal taste in foods and clothing.  Uncanny coincidences or genetically inherited influences?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Behavioural_genetics

I think Jordan Peterson did a whole thesis on this subject and how we genetically inherit a sense of patriarchy because for the better part of mankind's history the male dominant world has always been the status quo and filtering that out of our genetics will take several more generations to complete.

The question is what could happen in a time without law.  I think we are beginning to see it.

It has not come to the stage of noble philosophers protecting their rights and supporting personal responsibility.  It is not going to be brave patriots standing up to a tyrannical government.  We will go down in lawlessness and fracture of society before it reaches that stage.

It has begun with entitlement and disregard for other citizens.

It is people shoving and screaming at 17 year old girls and cursing them for trying to do their jobs. "Where is my ice cream bi***!"   "I have a Constitutional right to shop in this store without  a mask. FU "

Bus drivers and ticket takers get spit on.

Airlines can't depend on passengers to follow the safety rules on their own honor.

A Target employee gets his arm broken.

An armed group of white citizens tries to force their way into a black household because they think it is somebody else.

Some of you are not racists, you certainly don't have to be racist to be patriotic.  But you got a whole bunch of fellow travelers that are and don't care much for your philosophy or the rule of law.

And hey all Blacks look alike to them and the kid probably did something, right?.  And what would you white men who are so outraged do  if an armed mob tried to break into your house because they thought your son was somebody else?  Some of you just salivate at the chance for that to happen so you can blow some scum away.  Well it should be easy enough to recognize who the scum are and they ain't liberals, Jews, Blacks and Hispanics storming the house. Its good ol' boys and girls..

That is what lawlessness looks like.  It is not noble and patriotic, it is ugly, entitled, racist and stupid.
