Unfortunately, due to how well things like this can be faked nowadays, even 'good' video is no longer really credible.

It's definitely not faked, the person cannot even hold the phone the right way around.  :P

Looks like something floating in the breeze. A balloon maybe?

Its not so much good video isnt credible as even so called "good" unidentified flying object  videos still never show anything epic that cant be explained in down to earth prosaic terms ( except of course to dear true believers ).

Use this one as example, well, granted the object is still a blurry mess, we have an object which i do not know what it really is, appears to be drifting up in the sky for a few seconds captured on video by a rather crappy cameraman,

I dont see anything more than mundain here :sleepy:

yep

grab a handful of bin bags...
cut them & tape them up into a nice shape...
fill it with helium & let it off...
run down the road & film it...
& hey presto- yet another amazing youtube ufo video to get the fantasy juices boiling

wonderful

In the right weather a black or dark trash bag will get heated by the sun enough to take flight, seen it on the beach many times.

Columbian spy kite.

Yeah, it looks a lot like a kite.  The guy says it was not a kite and the object was moving, guess his battery died when it started moving.
Interestingly enough, I went to youtube to find a video of actual kites in the sky and ran into this interesting video:

He doesn't claim its a UFO, but a kite hologram.

Almost the first thing you learn when editing videos, is that additions must be matched to the scene properly.  So the video editor programs provide tools to do things like match the lighting, the camera shake.  Things can be 'linked' to a background object or objects and you can even match the focus blurring in and out as the AF 'hunts', and other effects.  This is Faking 101....

To summarise, if you are going to fake it is (sadly) good practice to make your fake look like it was done by someone with Parkinsons, and with every possible camera setting wrong (eg autofocus and digital zoom on - you should not use those settings on tiny distant objects)...

Kite. You can see it dip several times indicating someone is tensing the string and then releasing the tension periodically.

does anyone really care what it is?  if 'somehow' we find out what it is, it's highly unlikely to be something oh weird & wonderful, is it- really!?. boring:sleepy:

Rather peculiarly filmed, btw.  A cynical person might wonder why he never even got close to centering the item in the frame - it was almost as if he only wanted footage that mostly included the tree and left room for the UFO ... to be added later?..

Despite that, it just doesn't seem to be interesting enough to be a fake...

The way it moves, in my opinion, it's a kite.
