Now we are on Greek Letters when the alphabetical name list runs out of Latin letters: Tropical Storm Beta swept through eastern Texas last night. The 4th storm in a month after Laura, Marco and Sally to drenched Louisiana and neighboring Gulf Coast states. This is the second year (the other is 2005) when Greek letters to name hurricanes are used.

Delta is moving up the ladder quickly.

A fitting name for a storm changing so fast.

Delta roars to Cat. 4 status in a matter of hours. Someone is going to need to get out of the way of this bear. She is coming for U.S.

I think this Earth Operation should be named: “Mountain Grizzly”

Here we see hurricane Delta, Tuesday, 4.5 days away from landfall, while still down in the Caribbean.

In the movie The Revenant, while hunting in the uncharted wilderness in 1823, frontiersman Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) sustains life-threatening injuries from a repetitious bear mauling.

It is one of the most memorable scenes from any movie of my lifetime.

Hurricane Delta now returns to the same part of Louisiana, which was already mauled by hurricane Laura, completing the “grizzly” forecast.

Let U.S. all pray for the good people in the swamp lands of the Louisiana frontier.

It seems that this year is not as busy as last year was.

I think that (very brief) article shows that up till 4th August, this season was a lot more busy than last year.   Since then its got even busier.
