Still Waters Posted May 20, 2020 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2020 Humans and dogs aren't the only ones who can master the art of herding livestock. Boston Dynamics' four-legged robot dog Spot seems to be doing a fine job of maneuvering sheep across the pasture. In a new video posted by robotics software company Rocos on Tuesday, Spot is seen roaming the New Zealand grasslands, showing off its shepherding skills with a group of sheep. Rocos' video showcases the various advancements in precision agriculture Spot the robot could help make possible, such as corralling sheep without the supervision of humans. https://www.cnet.com/news/boston-dynamics-robot-dog-spot-herds-sheep-like-a-pro-in-new-video/

the13bats Posted May 20, 2020 #4 Share Posted May 20, 2020 What next robot sheep? Oh. Wait, nevermind that. But that thing has about a 9 creep factor to me what if it goes maverick like AMEE did?

That will change. 2 hours ago, the13bats said: What next robot sheep? Oh. Wait, nevermind that. But that thing has about a 9 creep factor to me what if it goes maverick like AMEE did? Agreed on the creep factor but it won't have to go maverick itself, just whoever is pushing the buttons. How much you want to bet that they have experimented with mounted weapons? They'll be riding herd on us soon enough. Edited May 20, 2020 by OverSword
