These animals are basically all over I believe.   And just because you don't see them don't think they're not there, because they can be very elusive.   I used to raise goats and one morning went to the pen where I had both adults and kids.   From a distance I saw something lying in the pen I thought was one of my dog's ragdolls, but when I picked it up it was a kid that had been completely gutted.   There were other kids that had been attacked, and one was just gone with nothing of it ever found.   Upon inspection around the pen I found big cat tracks, so then I knew what had happened.
