The Remains of an Administration

Recommended Posts

WVK

A  summation of the Obama presidency:

"Each day that the Obama administration fades into the past, its wrongdoings manage to wander back into the present.

After years of suppression, all sorts of strange events keep popping up to remind us of what little is left of the Obama years — the Susan Rice memo, Christopher Steele deleting his computer records, FBI-doctored and lost 302s, text messages wiped clean, the bizarre Obama January 5, 2017, Oval Office meeting, the ambush interview of Michael Flynn, the unmasking and leaking of redacted names swept up in reverse-targeting surveillance operations, the administration fraud perpetrated on the FISA courts. The list is so overwhelming and bizarre that it ensures that anything at any time can now appear. And the result keeps reminding Americans of how corrupt were the years between 2009 and 2017 and how untruthful was the coverage of such institutionalized wrongdoing."

Jeez, @WVK go back to the Johnson administration if you think this is something new.  U.S. politics has been corrupt for a long time.  Do some research on Roosevelt or Eisenhower, maybe just read some history.

Ergo we should ignore this malfeasance?

What do you suggest we all do about it?  Are you willing to spend every vote and any money you usually donate to political causes on independents and do your part to break the Party manipulative war that allows what is going on now?

So we have to first clean house with all the judges and district attorneys in order to do that successfully.  So, you don't have a practical solution then.

How do you propose to make an example of a select few, and which few would you select?

Some of his thugs will stand trial but he never will.  Neither will HRC.  If NO ONE is held accountable, this nation is on its way to chaos and violence, IMO.  Lawlessness and lack of justice based on status will not stand forever.

I always thought G Gordon got it right when he gave advice about dealing with Federal agents who come pounding on your door :tu:

trump's klan is so tiring and predictable..  Trump wishes he was the man Obama is.  We didn't have to pass around fake memes of Obama.  He is for real, not made up.

Never works because we are not a parliamentary democracy, designed from the ground up for multiple parties, necessitating coalitions and alliances to form governments. American democracy is structured differently and what has happen when a third party gains power is it either replaces one of the existing parties or loses the interest of the voters and withers away to nothing or becomes something small and inconsequential. The very mechanics of our legislative bodies are patterned around a two-party system. Voter disinterest is the main problem. Americans see politics much the same way they see sports, where you can't have three teams on the field.

Usually truth and justice makes me feel better.  And it's been a long time since we've had either.  It is finally beginning to come back.

We can find corruption in just about every Administration.  Many Presidents used parts of the government, usually the IRS or FBI against their political opponents.  This current President is going to be the exception.  But what happened here is new.  The entire government was weaponized over an eight year period by a bad President to go against not just his political enemies, but also the people.  We've known about this from the beginning, but only now is it finally coming to light.

Do you know how hard it would be to back fill if we clean house the way you want?  Picking out trouble makers and making an example of them would send a strong message and then we don't have to be so draconian.  Trump has been Patton-like when it comes to cleaning house.  He uses the resources of the swamp to maintain stability while draining it.

I wouldn't say that.  The pieces are lining up even as I speak now.  Hilary and Obama are going to be dragged into this.  But Barr is not interested in setting precedence by indicting an ex-President, unless his hands become tied.  As far as Hilary goes, her fate is up in the air.  Her guilt is already known.  Is there enough here to get justice for the people without sending Hilary to jail?  But her conspiracy began back when she did her thesis on Alinsky.  There are going to be plenty of subordinates that go to jail.  Will that be enough blood?
