Metformin Recalled Due to Contamination

I know more people who use Metformin as an 'anti aging' drug or GDA (glucose disposal agent) but there are millions of diabetics who use it, also. First contamination was found in drugs like Zantac. These raw supplies are coming from China. This is NOT a China bashing thread, so do me a favor and keep it that way, I just don't think we should be so dependent on them for our pharmaceuticals.

I saw a news report earlier. It affects the extended release metformin. If you take immediate release, you are alright.

in case of zantac it was not contamination,  it was a reaction between components in certain storage environment.  it would happen if stored in high temp,
