This is so sad

A 7-year-old boy and his 6-year-old brother were killed in a fatal car crash after they took their grandparents' car out for a ride, authorities said.

The car, which was a 2007 Buick LaCrosse, was totaled and the children were pronounced dead at the scene Friday, Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. Andy Bell told CNN.

The siblings were driving on a road in Jackson County, east of Kansas City. At some point, the car traveled off the right side of the road and struck the ground becoming airborne, the highway patrol said.

I read this the other day.  Some people blamed the grandma because the kids got the keys.   Where are the manners and rules?  We NEVER touched grandma's things.  Those were hers.  We were taught from very small what was right and wrong.

We now glorify a misbehaving child.  The one who stole his parent's car to go buy a Lamborghini...he was REWARDED with a ride in one! SMH.

These poor little guys were failed by their parents by not instilling  right and wrong, and repercussions for their actions. Spend time with your children and actually guide them.

They managed to get hold of the keys  and drive the car away without being noticed. Tragic accident because someone was not watching their children or the car. How did they get the car away without being seen by an adult on the premises?

Pointing the finger of blame will not bring these two boys back.

The article doesn't give much away about how they got hold of the car keys, or what the grandparents were doing at the time, or how did the boys manage to start the car engine and drive off without being seen or heard.

What a tragic waste of two young lives, and their famiy must be devastated.

RIP little ones.

The word 'fatal' in the title is redundant.  Just saying.
