Im betting mid August, everybody back indoors, and the BBC blame Boris.

Or alternatively, nothing happens and the BBC blame Boris anyway.

I never saw the kind of racism in the UK that I've seen in the U.S.  It was a different world.

Many years back there was racism, but things have changed.

I remember as a kid, a police station (Carter street) along the Walworth Road in south London had a bad reputation for being pretty brutal. Today they would call them racist, but the truth is, they did not discriminate against who they would be brutal against.

I saw with my own eyes their brutality, against blacks AND whites.

I have no doubts the brutal officers in American are the same, but we do not hear about the brutality against other colours.

I watched a programme about cops who kill, one brutal murderer was a black officer who took his position to a whole new corrupt level. As I mentioned earlier, we all know about the brutality in some African countries, where were the mass protests about the black lives matter there?

and to the rest of the population who have been co operating with the Lockdown etc. even when they might privately think the whole thing has been blown out of proportion.... but in good faith we've gone along with it especially because many people are genuinely scared half to death about it all because of the big fear campaign by the MSM...

and they would freak out even more if people didn't follow the guidelines...

looks like there are different rules for the protesters... and this is going to anger the general public -

Yes, puts the Dominic Cummings press frenzy into perspective somewhat.

they will be trying to do major damage limitation now - but it will all filter out -

the public are pretty sick and tired of the Media / BBC etc... and see through the games they play ..

I think there is a mood of deep cynicism from the public when it comes to the MSM...

if they try and brush this lot under the carpet it will get worse...

Sorry to hear that.

No protests for them, no protests for non black people killed by the police.

My friend was thrown in the back of a police van and beaten up, TRUTH he did nothing wrong, we were walking along Burgess park late at night and the van was patrolling, they pulled up along side us,  and threw him in the back and drove off. Yes he was known to the police, but he was not on a curfew. He was white.

Another friend was told he was not allowed to stand on the grass area, (he was the only one on the grass as we were all sitting on a wall) he was told to get of the grass or be arrested, he got off the grass. We were not shocked, but it was absolutely so wrong, the area belonged to the flats. I was purely a show of power by the police.. My friend was black.

So as I said, colour did not matter, a brutal cop, is a brutal cop. Things have changed as there are now police of all colours. I wonder how they feel today?

Indeed. I used to watch the BBC like everyone else, but after this last couple of months I've literally stopped watching the beeb altogether, they have done nothing to help the public through this situation and have just continued on the way they did through the whole brexit period, they are so now out of step the the people that pay their wages that they have now become redundant as a news service. Their target audience now are the very people that watch Netfix, Now TV and Amazon more than they watch the BBC, they are literally cutting their own throats.

Subscription service awaits, let the people that watch it pay for it.

The general public will air their anger online, not on the streets.

Which is what the protesters should have done, protest on line.

We know the power of the media and we know the power of the internet. Taking this to the streets is a kick in the teeth to all the key workers and all the people who have kept safe.

It is an insult to all those who have lost family and loved ones and is disrespectful to all those who have died.

It is an insult to all the good police who have protected us from flaunters and who have kept us safe from criminals.

I know this will not happen because our country is too soft, but if any of those protesters become ill from the virus, they should not be allowed in our hospitals, if they die, they can die at home! Yes, I am angry and quite frankly am at a stage where I do not give a damn about those who do not give a damn about others.

As mentioned, the irony around this whole protest thing is really off the scale.

doesn't it just....

and I expect London Mayor Khan will be tying himself in knots in the coming days... trying not to criticize the protesters but at the same time trying not to anger the public with ignoring the blatant disregard of the social distancing thing..

the incident that the whole thing is built around didn't even happen in the UK so it can hardly be described as 'essential' in any way shape or form... all the travelling from different areas of the country (I doubt they were all from London)... all the close contact...

like I said... many of us have gone along with all the guidelines even when we think we might have had the virus any way and thought that a lot of it was over the top scaremongering..... but we did it for the whole country and those people who were extra vulnerable and extra scared about it all....

then this happens and it's taking the p***..

Yes, I've no doubt the MSM will focus on something quite different over the coming days in an effort to deflect attention away from this, probably something to do with Trump no doubt, because as we all know...it's all his fault anyway.

It is not only black people protesting, it is white lefties who want Boris out and this is their excuse to try and do it.

It would be interesting to know how many of these white fake protesters voting against Brexit?!

What we are seeing now are the remainers out on the street.

Spot on. You have summed up what is going on in a nutshell:tu:

Hence the backing of the BBC

I have a little thing I do when I see press photographs of these type of things, and that is to look closely at the placards the people are waving, and nine times out out of ten (including on this occasion) the 'Socialist Worker' logo can be seen on loads of them. As you say, in this country this has got little to do with legitimate protest, and everything to do with anarchy.
