Still Waters Posted June 7, 2020 #1 Share Posted June 7, 2020 San Francisco’s famous Golden Gate Bridge has started “singing” following recent changes to bicycle-path railings that appear to make music as the wind blows through them, residents have reported. The eerie sound has prompted perplexed, cheeky, and even desperate reactions from locals. City officials offered an explanation for the sound, which can seemingly be heard several miles away. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/jun/06/golden-gate-bridge-san-francisco-sings There's a video in the link. 3

Seti42 Posted June 8, 2020 #4 Share Posted June 8, 2020 Something should be built onto/into the bridge to harness the wind for electricity and dampen the sound. I'm sure some green engineering genius could come up with something that does those things, is aesthetically pleasing (or camouflaged) and would pay for itself over time.
