So it says that NASA figureD it out but dosent say what it was and claims it’s a death beam directed at earth. Can anyone shed more light on this. What did it turn out to be if not an alien death ray.

The Daily Express is well-known for posting pseudoscience and right wing bulldung.

Then WHY aren't you getting quotes FROM NASA?  Have you not worked it out yet, after all the times you have been told?  These sites twist people's words, and make crap up.  So GO BACK TO THE SOURCE.  If you can't find the source, that's a 100% indication that you are being SUCKERED.

but dosent say what it was

Actually, they did say what it was - a large X-Ray source.  There's lots of those across the Universe.

and claims it’s a death beam directed at earth.

????  That's a 100% lie.  NASA did NOT say that, none of the quotes they posted said that - it was just the Express making **** up as usual..  Please cite where it says it was directed at earth.  Or, apologise for adding that lie into the mix.

It's an X-ray source.  NOT pointed at earth.  And NASA isn't sure of its precise explanation, but as above, there are plenty of X-ray sources in space..

Next time, bring something from a source other than the gutter press or a Youtube video.  And instead of hanging out at conspiracy-pushing websites, why not spend a bit more time at, say nasa.gov or space.com and learn *real* stuff.

Yes, it sadly does appear that some people are so ignorant of the topic that they think NASA is a world-wide agency that controls all information about Space.  Given everything from the current commercial companies that partner with NASA, and the very well known (and HUGE) input into sky observations from amateurs all around the globe, the space agencies in Russia, China, Japan, India, Europe, etc, plus the major telescope installations like the AAO, Arecibo, Mauna Kea, etc, etc, etc - well, it would take a special kind of person to think that NASA is lying to them.

Indeed, as always, I would ask anyone making such a moronic claim, to actually elaborate on the 'lies' from NASA on this topic.  If they won't, then they should really keep their lies to themselves...
