Security guard goes viral for shielding dog

A Morrisons security guard has been hailed a 'legend' after he was snapped covering a golden retriever from the rain with an umbrella.

The picture was taken outside Morrisons in Giffnock on Sunday morning, as the bad weather battered down on Scotland, the kind security guard decided to protect the pup from the rain by shielding him with a large umbrella.

Mel Gracie tweeted the sweet picture and said: "Shout out to this @Morrisons security man keeping this good boy dry. He said ‘well you never know how dogs feel about the rain’

The post has received over 23,000 likes and many were quick to praise the man for his kindness with some even calling for him to get a pay rise.
