thedutchiedutch Posted June 30, 2020 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2020 Fair or not fair and would you accept these charges ? To compensate for the investments made for the safety of both staff and clients since Belgium’s deconfinement, such as plexiglass, masks and hydroalcoholic gel, the Brussels’ restaurant introduced a Covid-19 charge. After one client shared their ticket, dated 10 June 2020, on social media, many people criticised the practice, with one client saying that she did not mind paying a supplement but that €5 was too expensive, and another calling it “pure theft.” The restaurant was closed for three months, and now that it is open again, it can only allow 50% of its capacity, meaning it is still working at a loss, the owner wrote on the restaurant’s Facebook page in response to the criticism. zep73 Posted June 30, 2020 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2020 Fair. Countless businesses are suffering, on the verge to shutdown. Any means to survive, and save jobs, is fair.
Kismit Posted June 30, 2020 #3 Share Posted June 30, 2020 There choice. We have absorbed our losses the best that we can in order.to keep the flow of money circulating and to help ease off the issues of recession. It's bigger than us. If we can afford to keep it affordable we will.
spartan max2 Posted June 30, 2020 #4 Share Posted June 30, 2020 Fair to me. Just basic economics. If you can only operate at 50 percent capacity you are losing so much money. Also, it's a restaurant so it's not like you have to go there.

Myles Posted June 30, 2020 #6 Share Posted June 30, 2020 Fair. I would prefer a restaurant just raise their prices. Local Mexican restaurant suspended their Taco Tuesday during this. They were losing money with $.89 tacos.
