Still Waters Posted July 2, 2020 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2020 Newborn twin sisters were attacked and killed by their family dog in their home. The disturbing incident occurred in the Brazilian city of Piripa, just 26 days after the birth of the twins Anne and Analu. Local media reports that her mother Elaine Novais heard a sound from the room where the twins were while chatting to a neighbor. She was horrified when a family dog attacked her daughters. She managed to tear the dog away from them and called a family friend who is a nurse to help the little ones. https://thakoni.com/jealous-dog-mauls-newborn-twin-girls-to-death-while-mum-chatted-to-neighbours/ https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/jealous-labrador-mauls-newborn-twin-22286373
Kittens Are Jerks Posted July 2, 2020 #2 Share Posted July 2, 2020 OMG how incredibly tragic. I do think jealousy may have had something to do with it. I was holding a friend's baby once, and Emma-Jane (my cat) freaked and tried to push the infant off my lap. Pets, as wonderful as they are, can be unpredictable around children. They should never be allowed near them unsupervised. Even usually docile dogs (as evidenced by this story) can go mental under certain circumstances. Infants and small children don't stand a chance against them.
Senkoujin Posted July 14, 2020 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2020 Was the dog in question charged with 1st degree murder? What of its fate?
