That is pretty cool but the headline is:


Ancient Americans made epic Pacific voyages

As if this were a common occurrence.

But the article says:


"It was conclusive evidence that there was a single shared contact event."

So I'm guessing a fisherman got lost at sea and made land on an inhabited island.

Now there are going to be a ton of people that only read the headline and invent in their mind a seafaring civilization from South America that never existed.  Good job BBC :tu:
