L.A.T.1961 Posted July 8, 2020 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2020 BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 unite for simultaneous short film broadcast. "The two-minute piece featured the message that ‘our stories are your stories’. Some 21 services broadcast the film, titled Our Stories, at 9pm on Wednesday in a celebration of the role broadcasters have played in bringing people together before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. BBC announcer added: “A special moment there across all broadcasters in the UK, showing that your lives and your stories truly influence everything we do.” It looks as though there's a bit of panicking going on in UK tv media and there is a desire to inform us how good they all are. Don't expect to find this story on main bbc news site. Instead it has been tucked away in its Media center. https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/latestnews/2020/our-stories https://www.independent.ie/entertainment/bbc-itv-channel-4-and-channel-5-unite-for-simultaneous-short-film-broadcast-39352069.html

The esteem for the media is at an all time low. Subscription service awaits....let those that think it's great pay for it. Funny how this coincides with the other BBC story on here about the BBC charging the over 75s........expecting a blacklash no doubt. https://yougov.co.uk/topics/politics/articles-reports/2019/12/16/do-britons-trust-press Edited July 9, 2020 by itsnotoutthere
