Weak!

There's gotta be like a million things we disagree on.

Cloth or disposable diapers? I'm for disposables. I could tell you horror stories about diaper pails on wash day and a wee young lad that had to help mother.

I think they're coming around to biodegradable ones.

I'm on the no-thank-you list for washing out those things.

I never knew it would be so difficult to disagree with people.

That is wise. It was a necessity when I was a child and an arduous task. They had to be hand washed before going into the washer, an old ringer washer. Mom never got to use disposables on her 5.

I saw one of those ring washers once but never had to use one.

Privilege, it seems now.

Just more modern conveniences. A tv, an electric or gas stove, inside toilet and bath, telephone and washing machine were basic but not yet universal conveniences back then. My grandmother washed with a washboard in a galvanized tub which also doubled as a bath tub. Cooked and heated with wood stoves, too. She did have a tv and phone.

A wood stove is still good to have. Power goes out sometimes.

Oh my! The food she cooked on it was to die for! Best old fashion cathead biscuits and sausage and gravy I've ever eaten!

All the modern conveniences in the world, and what gets offered up?

Frozen pizza?

Lol.

Yeah, an old hermit like me eats his share of those. We eat what we can and have time to prepare. Breakfast is my favorite meal. I usually make a pepper cheese omelet, sausage and brioche toast and apricot preserves and butter, coffee, orange juice and an apple juice chaser.

Maybe with more time on our hands we can hone our culinary skills.
