US military bases in Japan confirm COVID-19

Dozens of US Marines have been infected with the coronavirus at two bases on the southern Japanese island of Okinawa in what is feared to be a massive outbreak, Okinawan officials said on Saturday, demanding an adequate explanation from the US military.

Okinawa prefectural officials said they could say only that a “few dozen” cases had been found recently because the US military asked that the exact figure not be released. The outbreaks occurred at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, which is at the centre of a relocation dispute, and Camp Hansen, Okinawan officials said.

Local media, citing unnamed sources, said about 60 people had been infected.

The Marine bases on The Rock should of been closed in the 1980s when all the abuses to the local Ryukyujin came out in the open.

another COVID-19 alarmist story? It's just like, well, gosh, it's just like it could be any day since about February. Covid-19 is a thing. Learn to live with it.

Oh, it’s a “thing” all right.

How many of those “things” do you think you think Uncle Sam can take, before crying, because just one of those “things” was enough to wreck the U.S., without even a shot being fired.

Oh wait, you probably think the United States is great, because of Manifest Destiny, and God is on our side, etc. etc.

This whole oversimplified argument about “things,” reminds me of Ripley trying to explain how “things” can go so wrong, especially to people who don’t care about hearing the truth.

Of course, bad “things” can take many different forms. However, it’s usually the poor initial reaction to the “things,” which causes the bigger problem.

The rabid behavior of some men, towards a Garden so carefully planted, has not gone unnoticed.

Even now are the golden wings of military flight on the menu of the Angelic Host.

They dared also, Father, to harm a Son of Thunder, to sow a whirlwind of fire.

Like fingers on a rocky shoal, ”Dread” will their commanders cry out, of this plaga from the cursed sky. Tiny stones at sunset, sent from Goliath’s grasp.

If George Washington had said "We just have to learn to live with smallpox," instead of vaccinating the Continental Army against it, we might still be singing  "God Save the Queen"
