Make a pit stop and come back to this, Biddy stealing snack. She didn't like it near as much as she thought she would. He's put on a kilo or two since this photo and his furry grapes were taken. He hates all things fish. He would live on kangaroo treats and gravy/jelly if he could. He runs laps after he takes a shet - and he's very sensitive to surfaces. He rarely ever covers over his turds. He balances himself on the rim of the litter tray every time he uses it. He religiously pets the surface of the water in his bowl before drinking (frequently tipping the damned thing over in the process). He hates cuddles. He loves to chase pistachios and 'smokes' that are made of multiple filters wrapped in a rolling paper (no tobacco). He has to 'touch' - he stretches an arm (or two) right out just to touch you. He fluffs up and gets all sassy when you call him a 'good boy'. He's incredibly vocal - my favourite meows are when he's already purring. He grew up very timid and protective of me because we spent 2 and a half years in a DV situation. Ever since we met my new partner, Preston has blossomed into a beautiful young man-cat and loves his new Daddy dearly - maybe even more than he loves his Mummy. He never used to purr, never used to sit on your lap and would hide for hours when someone new came to the house. The first day he met his new Daddy, he cuddled up and slept with him on the couch. A friend found him on the side of the road and gave him to me. As soon as I opened the box, I realised that he only had one leg. I fell in love instantly. He was also suffering from an eye infection. I took him to the vet, who handled him very roughly and ultimately gouged his eyes beyond repair while trying to remove the infection and pus. Pacha is a little fighter. He's overcome his disabilities and is healthy, happy and vibrant. He's learned a series of words and phrases: Mummy, Pacha, Preston (the cat), Puss-Puss, Come here, Gimme kiss, Good boy, Hungry, Boofhead, Cheeky Bum, Hi, Whatchya doin? and my favourite, I love you. He creates his own little sentences out of his growing vocabulary. He loves to dance (particularly to Russian hardstyle/rave band Little Big), loves to giggle, loves singing and when I 'shhh' him, he whistles. He's never flown. He hops everywhere and anywhere - it's hard to keep him in one place! He climbs like a little rainbow monkey, using his one foot and beak to get around. Whenever he gets fed, he lays his head on the ground and makes his kissing noises. He's surprisingly cuddly and affectionate, but has a big attitude. He pretends to sleep when I roll him onto his back and say, "Nunnite". He stays dead-still until I tickle his belly and 'wake him up'.
