"That is the view of an expert who has tried to shed some light on Blidworth's 'Druid Stone', which has a narrow, man-made passage cut through its centre. "The attraction, also called the "Altar Stone", stands at more than 13 feet (4 metres) high and is made up of a mixture of pebbles and sand bound together with limestone."
