"The U.S. war against global terrorism has displaced as many as 59 million people since 2001, according to a new report released Tuesday by Brown University.

"The study, published by the Rhode Island-based university’s “Costs of War Project,” says between 37 million and 59 million people in eight countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East “fled their homes in the eight most violent wars the U.S. military has launched or participated in since 2001,” when the al-Qaida terror group attacked the United States.

"The figures in the report, titled “Creating Refugees: Displacement Caused by the United States Post-9/11 Wars,” show that displacements have risen sharply from 21 million in 2019. "

We in the US can be gratified to know that it is a fully bipartisan effort.  No matter who's president, or which party controls one branch of government or another, the forever war industry effort will be maintained at all costs.  And as to terrorism and al Qaida, not to worry, MBS and the Saudis are our best friends doncha know.

Mea culpa, world.

Understood how the West joined in.  Armaments manufacturers employ many.  Global financial interests must not be hindered.  Fracturing all those Muslim countries surrounding Israel is in everybody's national interest after all.  The Wahabbi Saudis have problems with their geographically key tribal rivals and secular nationalism in the Middle East.  And since most countries experience political unrest of some sort these days, terrorists can be found in other places as well, if need be.

The War on Terror was an evil concoction from the start.  IMO.

The West does not have a monopoly on arms or inhumanity.  Humans are nasty creatures when they want to be.
