Hi Crazy Horse

Clearing the ego is not killing it it is stripping away all the useless noisy chatter in it.

Have I ever used the term "killing the ego"?

In any event, the ego is what's blocking the truth out.

And so it must be set aside, if one wishes tom know, experience, be, THAT truth.

Well, perhaps you shall take the Buddha seriously?

Quote.

"Ego is just like the dust in the eyes..

Without clearing the dust we cannot see anything clearly,

So clear the ego and see the world."

or

""The ego relies on brute force for strength

The Spirit works always in peace, through wisdom and understanding".

Google woo. :P

Hi Crazy Horse

Yes you do talk about getting rid of, suppressing and killing ego because it is evil, and no ego does not block truth you cherry pick what supports your bias.

That's right..

And that's why the good, kind-hearted, merciful, humble lightworkers, love, shall always win these illusory games.

Lord Buddha

Wait, you just called Buddha a lord? LOL

Lord is an appellation for a person or deity who has authority, control, or power over others, acting as a master, a chief, or a ruler.

Wouldn't Buddha have been opposed to having such notions of power attributed to him?

Such as?

Well, for example there's your karma..

Something that is convoluted to say the least.

And then there's your genuine yearning to know GOD, or the lack of.

Maybe you just smell really, really bad.

I don't know you, so I cannot say

In saying all of this you are acknowledging that you are, in some way (whether it be karma, yearning to know your god, or my smell), doing something better.

You have a lot of ego left to kill, dude.

Allrighty folks, knock it off with the derogatory commentary and discussing each other. This happens way too often in these spiritual threads. Discuss the OP topic, not each other.

I have some ego left to clear, from my eye..

That's true.

But, its not so much as one being better, that is after-all a relative term, but that one is doing "something" different.

It is by the fruits of the tree, that one may discern.

For what its worth, I am trying to realise enlightenment by virtuous conduct..

Although I would add meditation too.

Is righteous conduct about snapping at those who do not agree with you or see things your way?
