Billionaire Donors Purchasing Power

Recommended Posts

Looks like one of those one sided message boards is showing its true blue self again, Tucker reported the other day about how Soros is funding left right and centre into the Democratic party and fuelling partial blue leaning people in positions of power with cash incentives. He had the message censored for untrue reasoning by said true blue message board, yet as Tucker pointed out they knowingly leave pornographic material up for anyone to view without any censorship at all, why is that?

Now we read that the failed Presidential candidate Bloomberg spent millions paying off black and Hispanic felons bail orders, to gain a vote for the blue donkeys. That is illegal under law, and all who took said bail handouts could go back to jail.

It really is funny just how hypercritical these blue leaning peeps are, take Bernie for instance he said all through his campaign run (which was stolen from him again) no to big business no to billionaire hand outs for votes as did Warren, remember her spat with Pete over the nine hundred dollar a bottle of wine in a cave jibe.

Yeah we all know Trumps a billionaire but he takes no wage from his Presidency stays back in crisis times, doesn't take the holidays when all the blue headed sheep do.

And the blue paid off media still spin it the other way around, its worse now than ever before.

Our Republican governor (Iowa) did a big push to allow felons to vote.  https://governor.iowa.gov/press-release/gov-reynolds-signs-executive-order-to-restore-voting-rights-of-felons-who-have

Florida is similar but they allow it only if you pay your fines first.  Some considered it a poll tax but the courts ruled that it wasn't- so obviously someone paying it off isn't illegal either.

But I do agree with the OP.  We live in an age where billionaires and corporations routinely buy organizations and politicians.  Soros and Adelson are the two biggest ones but with Citizens United, the floodgates were thrown wide open.

As billionaires go, Trump is an odd one.  He seems to be constantly begging for money and has been caught on more than one occasion dipping his fingers into funds that aren't his: https://www.npr.org/2019/11/07/777287610/judge-says-trump-must-pay-2-million-over-misuse-of-foundation-funds

I'm not sure he is even really a billionaire.  He has considerable debt leveraged against his assets and hides his taxes.  For all we know, our net worth could be greater than his- he could be another Bernie Madoff sitting on a golden toilet paid for with other people's money.

Dead people aint either but they do some how.

Quote

Former New York mayor Mike Bloomberg and his team have raised more than $16 million to pay the court fines and fees of nearly 32,000 Black and Hispanic Florida voters with felony convictions, an effort aimed at boosting turnout for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

The money will fund a program organized by the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition to pay the fines, fees and restitution costs for former prisoners who are already registered to vote in Florida but barred by law from participating in the election because of those outstanding debts.

Rep. Matt Gaetz has called for a criminal investigation into billionaire Mike Bloomberg, who paid off $20 million in debt for more than 31,000 convicted felons in Florida so that they can vote in November.

Bloomberg, who is worth more than $50 billion, raised more than $20 million to pay off fines, court fees and restitution for felons, and pledged another $100 million to help Joe Biden win Florida.

'I believe there may be a criminal investigation already underway of the Bloomberg-connected activities in Florida,' Gaetz told Fox News host Sean Hannity, accusing the former Democrat presidential candidate of attempting to buy off votes for Biden.

Saw a report that Biden's people are telling the wall street big business folks not to worry, no matter what he says it will be business as usual if he wins and to keep the money coming.

No holidays? What would you call spending nearly a year of his time as President on the golf course?

As for staying back during times of crisis, he's doing exactly that during this pandemic. But hey, no one panicked and only 200,000 dead.

And sure he doesn't take a salary, but who needs it when you can profit from the presidency in so many other ways.

Must suck knowing that millions are being poured into Biden's campaign when your campaign is pretty much broke.

Alas, you can't have it both ways.  If the fines are considered a "Poll Tax" then they are illegal.  But a judge ruled that they were unrelated to the voting process and thus not a "Poll Tax" so on the flip side Bloomberg paying the fines aren't buying the votes because of the same ruling.
