Yowie poo found on termite mound?

Eldorado

Recommended Posts

Yowie hunters are in a frenzy after discovering a pile of poo on a termite mound they believe is evidence of the supernatural Australian beast.

A member of the Tablelands Yowie Sightings Facebook group posted several photos that were taken by a bushwalker near the Eignsleigh River in far North Queensland.

The images show a large pile of dung resting on a mound that had been broken open.

Seems to me to be a simple job to get DNA from the poo to see if there is any evidence of anything unusual.

Here is a story about DNA on poo being used to place a criminal at the crime scene.

Here is another case

Right. Should tell us who placed the display and what the displayer consumed.

I was thinking the same thing but sitting out in the desert like that it's probably pretty desiccated by now.  Or the termites have used it all.

Could be. One way to find out is to collect the poo and test it.

Notice that scat collection is normal in the work done in the natural sciences. The lynx study showed that to be the case. I did see other studies using scat to track big cats in India. They were observing individual large cats moving from place to place.

So...... assuming the 'leavings' are tested, what do y'all think the results will come back as?

I'll go with Dingo or Fox

Most “yowie” ear witness reports are from people who’ve never heard koala in heat.
Daemonic doesn’t seem to cover the noises they make.

Sounds like more effort that most QR employees usually put into track work.
