Popular Post Still Waters Posted October 4, 2020 Popular Post #1 Share Posted October 4, 2020 Egypt’s tourism and antiquities minster said on Saturday archaeologists have unearthed dozens of ancient coffins in a vast necropolis south of Cairo. Khalid el-Anany said at least 59 sealed sarcophagi, with mummies inside most of them, were found that had been buried in three wells more than 2,600 years ago. He spoke at a news conference at the famed Step Pyramid of Djoser in Saqqara where the coffins were found. The sarcophagi have been displayed and one of them was opened before reporters to show the mummy inside. Several foreign diplomats attended the announcement ceremony. https://www.boston.com/news/world-news-2/2020/10/03/egypt-reveals-59-ancient-coffins-found-near-saqqara-pyramids-many-with-mummies-inside Related: https://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/topic/339664-27-ancient-coffins-discovered-in-burial-shaft/ 9
Jon the frog Posted October 4, 2020 #2 Share Posted October 4, 2020 (edited) Openning them like that, in the middle of a crowd and under the sun look like the best way to damage them. At least it doesnt rain... Edited October 4, 2020 by Jon the frog
Seti42 Posted October 4, 2020 #3 Share Posted October 4, 2020 Yeah, just avoid creepy black (probably cursed) sarcophagi. They opened that one last year, and look at 2020. 1

Wepwawet Posted October 6, 2020 #6 Share Posted October 6, 2020 Though I am fascinated by Ancient Egypt, some of these pronouncements can be a bit risible. "Breaking news!, we found bodies in a cemetery, gasp!"
