Not a big fan of Van Halen,

Neither am I, but (as a Queen fan) I know him from a 3-track collaboration with Brian May.

Eddie is on (lead) lead guitar on this mega jam session:

One of the best musicians I ever heard play. He could really make those guitars sing.

RIP Eddie. :(

"Eruption" is usually people's favorite Van Halen solo, but my favorite is the one from "Hot for Teacher".

Caught the news, sad. My love and I were talking about it a little while ago. Major guitar player from our youths.

Bet there will be a musical wake for him.

Im sad when anyone dies, but yeah, he looked at smoking about rush did,

I saw them live when they opened for the stones at the T bowl, they played 2 nights around oct 81, something mucked up with ticket sales and capacity so scalpers were flipping tickets for a couple bucks as not to loose their butts,

I saw them in Mobile, AL when the band was opening for Black Sabbath.  Hell of show!
