Popular Post Sir Wearer of Hats Posted October 11, 2020 Popular Post #1 Share Posted October 11, 2020 She Stands Alone: She stands alone, her face kissed by age, carressed by hope, lined by loss. She stands alone - her path her own. She stands alone, her eyes older than her years, aflame and rich, life lived fully, hopefully. She stands alone - born anew. She stands alone, her shoulders defiant, tempting fate and love, an attitude of sureness. She stands alone - but unafraid. 12

(just a wild guess) One of my oldest friends actually, the first person I met in high school who didn’t call me by my obnoxious nickname with disdain and who seemed to genuinely be friendly (I was a lonely boy at school) and whose company I always appreciated. She’d had a rough life after high school but her inner strength always struck me as remarkable.
