unless the aliens were using drills,kangos,compressors,generators,etc no i got my tinnitus from using all the mentioned without ear muffs back in the day when health and safety on site was never heard of

Sometimes people just get it from bad luck. 

I got tinnitus in high school because of some super rarer side effect from a medication.
