That article may not have done so, and honestly I don't have the time to do the research for you. Thousands of users had their accounts suspended for sharing the story to their news feed. If you don't recall hearing that story, perhaps consider why you don't have basic information that has been available online for MONTHS!

Well I guess I'll just take your word for it.  I'd hate for you to have to "research" basic information....

What may or may not be on the laptop is secondary to the fact that the media made a concerted effort to hide the existence of the laptop from the public, going as far as to claiming (without any evidence) that it was "Russian disinformation". At the height of an election cycle.

It's actually quite scary how many people are making excuses for the media blatantly LYING to us!

Well here is another excuse, Rudy got hold of it, Tucker lost it in the mail, and at that point it is pretty indeterminate, is it real or a fake? I would hold on to that story until I knew the origin was verified.  Then it is suitable for publication.

Do you not believe that media has been lying to us for quite a long time trying to influence our decisions?  This was certainly not the first example, nor the last.

We had the Durham investigation which was supposed to send Hillary and Obama and everybody else to jail.  It didn't.  In fact he had to make a statement reeling back FOX coverage as not being accurate to what he reported.

Donald Trump got this right, media loves a good witch hunt story.  They get a lot of viewers and they get to sell a lot of torches and witch hunting paraphernalia.

I think my uncle was one of those people who had their posts removed on Facebook.  He didn't claim Hunter had a laptop, though.  His claim was that Hunter was a *** Blocked ***ographer and the evidence was on the laptop.- a bit like what Hacktorp was claiming.

Huh, I think it is ironic that UM censored the same thing my uncle got censored for.  Granted my uncle was more explicit.

But the 51 former “intelligence” officials who cast doubt on The Post’s Hunter Biden laptop stories in a public letter really were just desperate to get Joe Biden elected president. And more than a year later, even after their Deep State sabotage has been shown again and again to be a lie, they refuse to own up to how they undermined an election.

The officials, including CNN pundit and professional fabricator James Clapper — a man who was nearly charged for perjury for lying to Congress — signed a letter saying that the laptop “has the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”

What proof did they have? By their own admission, none. “We do not know if the emails . . . are genuine or not,” the letter said. They’re just “suspicious.” Why? Because they hurt Biden’s campaign, that’s evidence enough.

Keep in mind this was written Oct. 19, 2020, five days after The Post published its first story. Neither Joe Biden nor Hunter Biden had denied the story, they simply deflected questions. Didn’t these security experts think that if this was disinformation, the Biden campaign would have yelled to the heavens that the story was false?

Dude there's no such thing as a deep state. It's not shocking that folk who work as clerks, bureaucrats and other career government workers might want someone stable and sane instead of an orange paranoiac leaving grease stains everywhere. And has for 'undermined an election', no they didn't, if you don't have solid evidence something foul happened, spewing it out there is irresponsible. Liberals understand that the burden of proof is a thing.

That's weak. A better explanation was that they were Fortifying the Election. "Fortification" is doublespeak for "we will amplify ideas we like and silence views we disagree with".

I'm almost certain of it. Does that make it ok? That's a rhetorical question, by the way - of course it doesn't make it ok.

Well when the views they disagree with are just out and out lies and conspiracy theories, no reputable journalist will amplify that.

Okay allow me to explain how this works

Hanging out with a guy who turned out to be a criminal doesn't make you a criminal. Otherwise, everybody on the Dating Game when they had that serial killer on there would be doing hard time for gross homicide nonsense. Especially when it was a guy like Epstien who a mover and shaker on the east coast, just about everybody in a position of power knew the guy at least to an extent.

It is hardly vindication of The Post’s flawless reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop that 17 months late, The New York Times has admitted the laptop is real.

It is an indictment of the Times and a betrayal of their readers who were kept in the dark about the true nature of Joe Biden before the 2020 election.
But now that we are all on the same page, there are some serious questions the administration needs to answer, which go to America’s national security at a time of international peril.

Biden’s press secretary, Jen Psaki, refused to answer The Post’s White House reporter, Steven Nelson, when he had the rare opportunity to ask her two of those questions last week.
Psaki’s excuse was that Hunter Biden “doesn’t work in the government.”
But she wasn’t being asked about Hunter. She was being asked about her boss, the president.

“How is President Biden navigating conflicts of interest when it comes to sanctioning people who have done business with his family?” asked Nelson.
“What would be his conflicts of interest?” Psaki coolly replied.
Well, just for starters, Russian oligarch Yelena Baturina, who paid $3.5 million into a bank account associated with Hunter and his business partner Devon Archer, was not sanctioned along with other Putin-allied oligarchs this month.

Why not? Was it an oversight? A favor?
It’s a serious question that deserves a serious answer.

That doesn't say what you say it does, and furthermore nothing was disproven because you can't prove a negative and Trump wasn't indicted because you can't do that to a sitting president.

Bro it's not my fault that the left wing in this country, which is centrist everywhere else, is far more credible than the party of shirtless freaks in viking helmets. You guys made yourself into a parody obsessed with pizza shop pedophiles and gay frogs, not us, you did that to yourselves and have to own the fact that rational people just don't take you seriously. You traded intelligent discourse for cult mentality and crackery because your ideology is dying off and people can smell the bull**** from a mile off these days. And when the Republican platform was exposed as just not making any real sense in the age of fact checking, instead of saying 'okay, guess we need to update' you doubled down and made a mess of everything in a desperate attempt to cling to some degree of power as your voter base started dying off.

The left wing in this country isn't perfect, but the right wing is actively snorting ivermectin while cranking it to Tucker Carlson.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/why-the-left-is-consumed-with-hate-1537723198

It is undeniable that America has achieved since the ’60s one of the greatest moral evolutions ever. That is a profound problem for the left, whose existence is threatened by the diminishment of racial oppression. The left’s unspoken terror is that racism is no longer menacing enough to support its own power. The great crisis for the left today—the source of its angst and hatefulness—is its own encroaching obsolescence. Today the left looks to be slowly dying from lack of racial menace.

A single white-on-black shooting in Ferguson, Mo., four years ago resulted in a prolonged media blitz and the involvement of the president of the United States. In that same four-year period, thousands of black-on-black shootings took place in Chicago, hometown of the then-president, yet they inspired very little media coverage and no serious presidential commentary.

White-on-black shootings evoke America’s history of racism and so carry an iconic payload of menace. Black-on-black shootings carry no such payload, although they are truly menacing to the black community. They evoke only despair. And the left gets power from fighting white evil, not black despair.

Today’s left lacks worthy menaces to fight. It is driven to find a replacement for racism, some sweeping historical wrongdoing that morally empowers those who oppose it. (Climate change?) Failing this, only hatred is left.

Hatred is a transformative power. It can make the innocuous into the menacing. So it has become a weapon of choice. The left has used hate to transform President Trump into a symbol of the new racism, not a flawed president but a systemic evil. And he must be opposed as one opposes racism, with a scorched-earth absolutism.

There is simply not enough menace to service its demands for power. The voices that speak for the left have never been less convincing. It is hard for people to see the menace that drives millionaire football players to kneel before the flag. And then there is the failure of virtually every program the left has ever espoused—welfare, public housing, school busing, affirmative action, diversity programs, and so on.

For the American left today, the indulgence in hate is a death rattle

Talk about burying the lead—for 17 months. The New York Times has finally acknowledged that Hunter Biden’s business dealings are legitimate news. Implicit apology accepted.

The Times waddled in this week with a story on the “tax affairs” of the President’s son, including this gem in the 24th paragraph: “Those emails were obtained by The New York Times from a cache of files that appears to have come from a laptop abandoned by Mr. Biden in a Delaware repair shop. The email and others in the cache were authenticated by people familiar with them and with the investigation.”

You don’t say. This admission comes six months after a Politico writer published a book that also confirmed that the laptop emails were authentic. But the original scoop belonged to the New York Post, which broke its laptop story in October 2020—only to meet a media wall of denial and distortion.

Rather than attempt to confirm the emails, nearly all of the media at the time ignored the story or “fact-checked” it as false. This in-kind contribution to candidate Joe Biden was all the more egregious given other evidence supporting the Post’s scoop. Neither Hunter Biden nor the Biden campaign denied that the laptop was Hunter’s. And Hunter’s former business partner, Tony Bobulinski, went public with documents backing up some of the laptop’s contents.

The herd of media conformists also echoed the speculation of obviously partisan “intelligence officials.” Some 50 of these officials—headlined by former Obama spooks James Clapper and John Brennan —circulated a statement peddling the Russian “disinformation” line—even as they admitted they had no evidence.

Reminder: "Local man own's laptop" is not news. It's just...a thing people have. Of course they'd ignore it, there's not a story there unless there's evidence he had something illegal on it. Which, has a reminder, ya'll don't seem to actually have.
