Marilyn Monroe new evidence?

Sounds as if this will be a series where they revisit old cases. I will watch if we get this show.

Could new evidence in Marilyn Monroe's death prove she was murdered? Cold case docu-series is set to unveil new information that 'narrows the circle of perpetrators' in her 1962 'suicide'

A new cold case docu-series is set to unveil new information that 'narrows the circle of possible perpetrators' in the 1962 death of Marilyn Monroe that was ruled a 'suicide'.

The actress died at her Los Angeles home on August 4, 1962. Her body was found on her bed by a responding officer, who also discovered empty bottles of pills, prescribed to treat her depression, littered around the room.

After a brief investigation, Los Angeles police concluded that her death was 'caused by a self-administered overdose of sedative drugs'. They declared her death a 'probable suicide'.

But Jack Clemmons, the former officer who found her, has previously said that he believed the 'scene seemed staged' when he arrived.

His theory was one of several, including claims of murder, mafia revenge and CIA assassination plots, that has prompted investigators to take a closer look at the case.

In a press statement, ZDF Enterprises announced that the company, in partnership with Story House Production, ZDF and Arte, will be working on a new docu-series titled, Cold Case: History, that has already uncovered new evidence.

Although I am not one for conspiracy theories I do believe she was either murder or there is alot more to her suicide then we have been told.

I believe she overdosed herself , there is no murder evidence.

It's a possibility. But look at the declaration.... "probable" suicide. Why not just state "suicide"?

IMO it was more likely an accidental death. Many overdoses are due to a person that habitually abuses a drug taking their usual amount (more than recommended) and not realizing their is a build up already in their system.

But I am curious as to what new evidence they think they have found. I'm keeping an open mind.

Well I can tell this opinion comes after some really in-depth research but you're actually quite right.  Right after Bobby Kennedy departed from where he never was that night all the evidence seems to have just magically flown away too.  Why just ask the esteemed Dr. Noguchi.

I found an article about Dr Noguchi but, of course, it's a pay to read. I do have this section from it though. That's the one thing that immediately comes to mind for me when I think about her autopsy. For someone who took so many pills, there was no evidence of any pills found in her autopsy.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/film/6126892/Dr-Thomas-Noguchi-LA-coroner-confidential.html

In Monroe's stomach, Noguchi found no visual evidence of any pills. Nor was there any sign of the yellow dye with which Nembutal capsules were coated – and which might have been expected to stain her stomach lining.Sep 10, 2009 Dr Thomas Noguchi: LA coroner confidential - The Telegraph

Here's another article about Noguchi and his findings. It explains the drugs found in her blood stream and liver and how many capsules she would have needed to reach those high levels. Again, no capsules or pills or evidence of them in her stomach. It goes on to use the actual autopsy report when they checked her small intestines. Again, no capsules or pills or evidence of them found to explain the levels in her blood stream.

http://www.marilynmonroepages.com/chemical-analysis/

Wow, that is a lot of capsules. Did they find a lot of capsules still undigested in her stomach?
There were no traces of either drug in her stomach.

Well I have heard that during drug overdose autopsies they don’t find any capsule residue sometimes. Can this be?
Yes, it has happened. Except when they found no traces of pill residue, they tested the 20 cc’s {just less than a shotglass} of mucoid fluid found in her stomach under a polarized microscope and found no trace of any refractive crystals from either drug. The polarized microscope is still the type of microscope used today to detect drug crystals. So no capsule residue and not even a trace of any of the crystals.

Well how do you know this isn’t common?
Joseph Mato who is a toxicologist at the LA County Coroner’s Office has stated: “With death through oral ingestion, the concentration of drugs would be highest in the stomach when compared to stomach levels resulting from intramuscular or intravenous ingestion”. “It is nearly impossible for a subject to die precisely at that moment when the entire medication would be absorbed beyond the stomach”.

Is there any research on this type of death?
Two leading specialist in the field of psychoactive drug-induced deaths, psychiatrist and neurologist Louis A. Gottschalk and toxicologist Robert H. Cravey were pioneers in developing the Standard Uniform Rating System in 1972. Their findings published in their book Toxicology and Pathological Studies on Psychoactive Drug_Induced Death, enumerate autopsies of over 1500 frequent drug users. Each and every autopsy of a death caused by oral ingestion included drug analysis of the stomach contents in EVERY case large concentrations to lesser amounts of the specific drug taken orally were found in the stomach. Dr. Cravey is quoted as saying “In EVERY case of a drug overdose through oral entry I have ALWAYS found drugs in the stomach”. Notice the right column showing stomach concentrations:

Monroe died between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on August 4,[242] and the toxicology report showed that the cause of death was acute barbiturate poisoning. She had 8 mg% (milligrams per 100 milliliters of solution) chloral hydrate and 4.5 mg% of pentobarbital (Nembutal) in her blood, and 13 mg% of pentobarbital in her liver.[243] Empty medicine bottles were found next to her bed.[244] The possibility that Monroe had accidentally overdosed was ruled out because the dosages found in her body were several times over the lethal limit.[245]

The Los Angeles County Coroners Office was assisted in their investigation by the Los Angeles Suicide Prevention Team, who had expert knowledge on suicide.[244] Monroe's doctors stated that she had been "prone to severe fears and frequent depressions" with "abrupt and unpredictable mood changes", and had overdosed several times in the past, possibly intentionally.[245][246] Due to these facts and the lack of any indication of foul play, deputy coroner Thomas Noguchi classified her death as a probable suicide

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marilyn_Monroe

barbiturate poisoning

A barbiturate[a] is a drug that acts as a central nervous system depressant

(I know I 'almost overdosed my self  by taking to much  https://www.drugs.com/*** Spam filter ***.html

I was so nervous I took two instead of just one and my mind  just blew and I had to go to the hospital. ) I never do it again :)

Marilyn Monroe probable did a suicide by taking to much barbiturates

I agree manner was likely intentional, but I think the cause was bound to happen.

What bothers me is that she wasn't committed to a mental health facility, indeed- involuntarily, if necessary. I think there's no acceptable reason as to why that didn't happen.

Just watched the Marilyn Monroe autopsy movie.   Dr  Michael  Hunter  said she died from using  Nembutal and chloral hydrate together 10 days  before she died; that  Dr  Hyman Engelberg gave her those drugs absorbed in her blood stream that kill her,  she was doubling those drugs on the night she died

Dr  Hyman Engelberg was the one that was responsible for her death.

Especially as her mother was in asylum.  Definitely family history.

I can't find any info on when or what channel these shows will be on. If you read the article you will see there are other  mysterious cold cases they will showcase.

A lot of doctors are now being fired, because they give their patients to many drugs they get overdose on. I had a  doctor that got fired because one of his patients killed him self by overdosing. Now any body wants pain relief the doctors are now cutting  down the drugs and sending patients to pain management .

And that's not a bad idea. I think a big drug company just lost a big settlement case so now they'll have to pay.  Did they know how addictive that stuff is before putting it out there? Who knows.

Well, that's interesting, but how about the fact that there was an empty bottle of Nembutal at the scene that was from a prescription filled a mere day before her death?

I'd like to know his opinion regarding manner.

I remember reading that she feared having a mental illness like her mother.

As for this show or any others, I doubt I'll watch, but I'd be interested to know which deaths are presented as mysterious and how so.

So in other words, Hunter said that the overdose was due to the combination of the two drugs rather than the amount of the Nembutal alone, right?

Do you remember if he mentioned his opinion as to manner?

I remember reading that during the autopsy a needle mark was found.  Trying to find it.

But found this:

https://calgaryherald.com/entertainment/celebrity/marilyn-monroes-death-scene-staged-podcast-reveals-new-details/wcm/2d18c187-27eb-4aa9-a8c7-ba99daee3e5e

Officer Clemmons claimed Monroe’s bedroom “looked like it was staged,” Gabriel continued.

The sergeant further alleged that Monroe’s housekeeper, Eunice Murray, mysteriously began washing Monroe’s bed linens on the morning of her death...

...

What’s more is Gabriel pointed out that “no glass” of water was present at the scene for Monroe to have taken pills.

“Pills were scattered about, yet there was no drinking glass discovered, not even in the bathroom, which had no running water at the time of the murder,” Prince added.

From reading some inconsistencies with the investigation, I see where the murder theory comes in.  And wasn't JFK supposed to have visited her the night she died?

I thought it was Robert Kennedy. There was always speculation that she was threatening to reveal her connections with those two. Death to their political careers at the time. He was supposedly there to calm her down, appease her or maybe offer something for her silence. She may have said "No" to all of those.

I could be wrong about which Kennedy,  maybe because she sang happy birthday to JFK, he first came to mind.

That was the speculation,  that she wasn't going to keep quiet and they shushed her

No you were right, it was J.F. Kennedy who was suppose to have had an affair with her.
