And evidence of the palace is where, where is alll the material used to  build it and surely the foundation would still be there?

Most of the material from buildings would have been washed away into the canals. However, you can see many of the foundations along shallow-water beaches and inland lakes. Rising sea levels will eventually cover those areas including Florida itself. Remember, according to Plato, sea level was once 100 fee lower than it is today.

No, Plato never said that.

Provide the specific quote where Plato says this.

Atlantis: The first royal palace sat on a hill with three  moats around it. Two and a half moats were destroyed leaving the hill and a partial moat. One spring is still in place today.  The three large canals are still in place. Plato gives their measurements. He did not mention the second royal palace.

I am resending links to the evidence. All you have to do click on them. To understand the evidence all you must read Plato's story again.

Hi Rojack

Where is the evidence of there having bedn a palace? Generally spezking there would have been many buildings near it and yet not one foundation or any associated building materials so whst did Plato have to say about that?

You haven’t provided any evidence, but you have lied about what Plato said. Go back and read his texts again.

Hi Rojack

A map of present day Tampa doesn't prove anything other than Tampa exists. Yoi do umderstand that if Tampa was built over a pre-existing ancient city palace included that there would be ruins and foundations found during excavations yet none habe been foumd or recorded

YOU haven’t even read Plato’s story, it’s embarrassingly obvious by your posts.

You must read  Plato's story to understand the evidence.

In 1989 a very extensive archaeological survey of that area of Florida was done because it was undergoing a lot of rapid development and developers had to have surveys done of the land to make sure they weren't paving over any important sites.

Here's the survey report (very long) https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/CZIC-sb482-t3-f6-1989/html/CZIC-sb482-t3-f6-1989.htm

They found shell middens and some burial mounds that date to 10,000 BC onward.  In fact, there is so much evidence that they were able to determine that there were around 20 different cultures in that particular area and then were even able to assign them to time periods based on a lot of other evidence.

The evidence there says that the inhabitants were PaleoIndians.  The timeline is continuous and they did not build on top of other structures nor did anyone else build on top of their sites until the 1800's or so.  The area was not used for farming and there are no stone buildings there.

Now there you go being all sciency and showing real evidence. This thread is about implausible belief based on stubbornness and a strong demonstration of ego over reality.

Hi Rojack

Not sure why you keep posting links to modern day Tampa, could you explain why?

I believed that is how Florida looked during the time of Atlantis.

We went through all these supposed Tampa-Atlantis links a few months back,  and found no solid evidence at all.

Why on earth are we doing it all again now?

Rojack likes to pretend, at the time of Plato’s alleged Atlantis the sea level was some 60+ meters BELOW current sea level. The following is what that would have looked like:

There would have been nothing recognizable as Tampa during that time.

Besides, everyone knows Florida is the secret location of the land of Xanth, not Atlantis.
