Ludicrous, just ludicrous.

This is the same old nonsense that has been posted the whole pandemic. The idea is that those that died were going to die anyways. It's part of the callous nature of those that want money and don't care who is killed or how many are killed or why they are killed. Reminds me of the definition of sociopath.

This is false: "In america there has been over 5000 more deaths from pneumonia than covid."

The column for pneumonia includes COVID deaths. Therefore, column 1 and column 2 are not mutually exclusive.

I completely understand the numbers. I can see you cannot. I felt after I posted that you were going to knit pick it. No matter . those people had pneumonia and died from it or they wouldnt be put in that column. If they died from covid they would be put in covid section . If they had both then it was the combination of the two but more attributed to pneumonia than covid. I'm starting to see you as just liking to be argumentative. Its really starting to show. Grow up.

At some point you just have to give up.  Some people don't want information they want agreement or argument.  You two have been going back and forth quite a while and no minds have been changed.  Those who want a conspiracy or to complain will not listen to reason, and the responses you have gotten so far from this person indicate he knows his position is weak by calling names and emotional responses.

You guys dont help at all.

No I'm tired of you guys not seeing what I see because you choose not to. You guys have posted nearly nothing of value and claim to have all the answers while claiming all mine are false or lies. You guys are the jokes not me. You guys have attacked my intellect and anything else you could. Like I said grow up. My last few statments are completely true. Its not my fault you choose not to accept them.

I'm not lying. I am simply asking you to support your statements. Throughout this thread you have posted lies.

You could just post the numbers and provide a statement, but you seem to be completely and utterly incompetent.

What we see is that NOT ONLY IN THE 34-55, 85+ group but also in the 45-54 group.

The problem is that the pneumonia deaths due to COVID-19 are listed in the pneumonia column. Since those columns are nearly identical it is likely that COVID-19 deaths exceed pneumonia deaths in almost all categories.

But you can't read the column headers and see that the figures are mixed can you?

I did not lie. I was hoping you would figure out the problem, but that was way too hard for you to figure out. So maybe in the future you can stop failing and recognize the limitations of the material you linked to.

But this is a lie: "my claim is exactly what the numbers say" It's only a lie because you can't read and comprehend the material you linked to.

Also can you not see I combined the two groups ?Can you not see 34-54 includes 45-54 group? And I cant understand numbers?

No you cannot understand the numbers. Maybe that is the problem, you have no idea what the numbers mean.

No nitpicking. That would be you. Let's see what you posted. "... have more people died from covid over pneumonia and by a very small margin"

The difference in the numbers is a small margin.

COVID-19 deaths in total: 212,328

Pneumonia deaths INCLUDING those due to COVID-19: 217,959

Those numbers are nearly identical. The pneumonia deaths including pneumonia due to COVID-19 is only 2.5% higher, a slim margin.

Now get your big boy pants on learn for a change.

Your thinking is so poor I accepted that as a typo. If you posted the numbers and didn't make up fake statements in almost all of your posts things would be simpler wouldn't they?

Are you dumb? I havent posted anything false. Most of what ive posted is subjective anyways. Which subjective means, if you didnt know, means opinon based.

Only 15 percent of covid cases become severe. Its easy to say what your saying maybe you should look a little bit harder when trying to slander someone.

The link led me to this quote which does not tell us the information needed.

How Many People With COVID-19 Will Get Pneumonia?

About 15% of COVID-19 cases are severe.

This does not tell us how many COVID-19 deaths had pneumonia.

Let's keep looking because I think you are on to something interesting.

Yes you have posted a number of false items. You claimed healthy people do not die of COVID-19 and then correctly that falsehood.

So now you want to pretend that your statements which are demonstrably wrong are just your opinion. Why not post "I think" or "I suppose" instead of being resentful of people pointing out your statements as being false?

It clearly states 15 percent of covid cases will become severe. So just multiply 0.15 into the pneumonia deaths I believe you would get a better estimate of how many of those pneumonia deaths were attributed to covid.

Here is the sort of thing I was looking for. It describes the issue that those looking at risks and hazards try to pretend they are as smarter or smarter than experienced medical personnel when they assign causes of death.

https://www.sciencemediacentre.org/expert-reaction-to-ons-data-comparing-deaths-from-covid-with-deaths-from-flu-and-pneumonia/

Quote

“The latest ONS release provides a comparison of deaths from “influenza and pneumonia” with deaths from COVID-19. Overall, the report confirms that in the first 9 months of 2020, the risk of dying from COVID-19 far exceeded the risk of dying from influenza and pneumonia. It is, however, a mistake to consider the difference in risk as being constant throughout this time and a mistake not to recognise the difference between deaths from underlying causes and deaths involving COVID or influenza and pneumonia. For example, between January and August 2020, there were more deaths in which COVID-19 was the underlying cause compared with deaths due to pneumonia and influenza (48,168 vs 13,619), but in the same period, there were more deaths involving pneumonia and influenza compared to COVID-19 (69,781 vs 52, 327).

The numbers are part of the story and as we see the numbers for COVID-19 and pneumonia are nearly the same.

But the numbers for pneumonia do include people with COVID-19. Therefore, they include COVID-19 caused pneumonia.

I have repeatedly explained my stance on what I meant by that and I will not change that. Young people dying are an abnormality. And in my opinon should not be Included when deciding if a disease is dangerous to the general population. That is my opinion and is not a fact.

Add up deaths due to cancelled operations, suicides, late diagnosis due to covid restrictions, diets starting to suffer from lack of funds due to covid lockdowns.

You'll find that lockdowns cause deaths, not prevent them - it's just swapping the method of death and possibly who dies first. Don't worry though, you'll be safe hiding at home.

My next prediction... a 'new' type of virulent flu-esque virus rearing its head in the end of Q1 2021. Not covid, a new strain, probably still with a single strand of RNA in its genome.

It will be largely unnoticed within the media as the 'R number' will be lower but it'll still take out as many as covid.

And before the analysers here take the anal bit of that word to heart. Wait til March 2021 then call me a dreamer.

Anecdotally, live unpasteurised miso, kimchi, sauerkraut might be a large part the the answer as to why Japan and South Korea have very few deaths from covid.

Now the 'UM Scientists" can have a field day with this post but if it helps just one of you then great plus it costs little to take and does no harm to you.

So humour me or yourself.

true.... but there is also a 'living death'..... and elderly people who are more lonely and isolated now than ever before are suffering being separated from their families - locked away - for their own good whether they like it or not...

what's happening is cruel...to families especially.. not just the elderly but children denied normal family like and life in a normal society..

take for example...

one of my Mom's friends that she had when she lived in Wales.... her son and daughter and family were devastated and very angry that they couldn't be with their mother for the last days /  hours of her life... the police even got involved ....

they will never get over that... but are trying to remember happier times and heal from what happened to their Mom and how she was alone (in a Care Home) as she died when they could have given her some comfort... in her confused state of mind she probably felt abandoned by her family not realizing they wanted to be with her but were stopped...

That's very sad and I'm genuinely sorry for what's happened to them, and countless others who have been affected similarly.

Whilst the first lockdown was almost certainly necessary, subsequent restrictions have been the direct result of people not taking basic precautions. We can blame the media and governments as much as we like but I think it comes down to personal responsibility. Mass gatherings, parties, people objecting to wearing a mask, etc are who have contributed most to the continued situation you have.

As I've previously said, many people have objected to infringements on their liberties in the form of social restrictions, mask wearing and contact tracing apps. But whilst whining about these trivial things, their behaviour has resulted in much worse loss of freedom in the form of lockdowns. Ironic, isn't it?

Agree and I already did after I realized it's mostly political hacks trolling this thread and the whole Covid-19 forum. I mean good lord! - anytime I see someone bring in the word socialism into a thread about the pandemic and are trying to play the pandemic down, as well as the author trying to play it down with starting this thread with fake news, you know their real agenda isn't really about the pandemic/covid-19/masks.

Edit to add: Also I suspect a lot of sock puppet accounts at work here.

Also I just looked into deaths by country its very strange when you look at america vs other countries with higher populations and thier infection-death rates. Just saying none of these numbers are making any sense. Why is america recording such high infection rates from such a low populace?

I know China's numbers shouldnt be trusted but comparatively the death rate in america is absurd compared to other countries. Either we are lying or other countries are.
