I believe not everyone voted for Trump. Their voices have been heard. Every American citizen has the option to register to vote when they are of legal age. Is it a requirement? I forget. I registered as an independent because I don't trust politics. I won't jump off any cliffs with any herd. I'd let my own life give me the answers. To the best of my ability. I grew up in a liberal household in Florida.

I bought Black Sabbath's first record a few days ago on CD from a place in Shelbyville. My old copy skips and is worn out. Black Sabbath is some of the earliest music I remember hearing as a kid, along with the Beatles, Big Daddy Kane, and Jimi Hendrix. The Yellow Submarine was the first record I had. It was on a white cassette tape. My dad played in a band. They would play at a place called Club Alamacony. I've sure as hell butchered the spelling. I remember it by name only. I was in diapers then probably. Or whatever one- or two-year-olds wear. Behind the bar, there were chickens in cages. I'd play with them and I set some of them loose. They will chase you. I started walking early. Around seven months on this rock.

My dad played with his friend, Jerry, on drums. And there was a whole cast and crew of musicians. Stevie Stiletto was a local punk rocker.

I didn't start making music until I was a teenager but I was always interested in it. I just thought it would be corny and redundant if I played guitar. My dad did that. I, nonetheless, began trying to learn guitar on my own. My dad did show me the basic chords but I forgot soon after and began experimenting. I found I couldn't do Barre chords like everyone else because my middle finger and ring finger stick together somewhere in the muscles and cartilage. Maybe it's a deformity. I can't do the Spock hand thing, either. So I do Barre chords with my index and pinky fingers on the fretboard instead. Basically, the metal sign. I don't use Capos. I don't follow trends.

Republicans can be cool as ****. And the United States owes its legacy to the Republican party. I'm not a republican for my own reasons.

When I was on the Skinner ranch, mama Skinner would wake up every day before dawn. She was the hardest working woman I'd ever known. And a Republican. She probably hated me, but I could understand and I'm sorry. I was really, honestly, truly in love with her daughter. I saw rainbows and roses. I'm not a perfect person.

“We all come from different backgrounds, we all have different life experiences, and they heavily influence who we vote for in elections.”

My own background is as follows. I only knew my paternal grandparents. They were steadfast anti-theists. They abhorred religion. My grandmother refused to kneel in church when my mom had my sister baptised. I don't think she wanted to be in a church to begin with but the mayor was there and she taught him dancing.

My grandfather signed up for the Navy the day after Pearl Harbor. He fought in WWII and eventually the Korean War. He watched people die. He even had a bullet dug out of him. When under attack in the Pacific, he fired artillery at a Japanese ship and it sank with its crew being picked off as it went down. He said some were even trying to make and wave white flags but they were picked off anyway. He turned down medals. He didn't even want a military funeral when he died. He considered it vain and a flagrant act of showboating and didn't want to be that slight. It was all service to him and nothing to flaunt or celebrate. After the wars, he worked on aircraft mechanics at NAS and flew planes for the fire service. He was an avid subsistence hunter, literary enthusiast, and an artist. He built his own house. My aunt lives there now. In 1956, he invented and patented the hook setter (Patent US2858634A). Although the patent is now expired, it is widely used in fishing around the world today. It was revolutionary at the time, and many variations of the hook setter have been created since.

So, in other words, he was a hard mother****er.

And he was staunchly anti-theist. He taught me about science and astronomy. He'd quiz me on naming every bone in the body. There was a time as a kid when I could name them all from memorisation.

Besides having no love for religion, another thing my grandparents had in common was their political views.

The Republican party was different than the liberating force it once was. George Bush Sr. was the head of the CIA. He'd lived his own hell of a life. He'd been shot down during the war. He was a badass.

Clinton came in. He was the underdog. Before him, Carter held down the fort on the Democratic side. I liked Jimmy Carter. He was a farmer from Georgia. And, he still helped in the construction of houses long after his prime.

Reagan was a propagandist. When **** went down and the United States was to blame, he denied knowledge. He believed welfare was for the prosperous and that it “trickled down.” Absolute horse ****. During the '90s and the Clinton years, it became apparent the Republican party sided with the evangelical hardliners (aka my #1 enemy behind rapists, murderers, and Christianity). They were against a woman's right to choose. They were against taking religion out of schools (this nation was founded on freedom from religious institution, aside from stealing land from the founders). They were against gay rights. They influenced the FCC to censor television, film, and radio, under pressure from Christian groups and lobbyists.

They catered to Christian theocracy. That is a terrible thing. And the Republican party was hell bend on pushing it all, even into war. Then, Donald Trump came along and he had multiple sexual partners, called Mexicans rapists, generally farted right into the microphone for all to hear. And, just as America became a more robust and diverse nation, took away restrictions on toxic empires. He planted hardline conservative judges. He gave no ****s about pipelines of oil under sacred land. All land is sacred, BTW.

He had the gall. He told people to lock her up. He pushed conspiracy theories. He lied. He did whatever it took to hold power. He said, “grab her by the *****.” Christian evangelicals lauded him in spite. He served their bottom line. They gave their hard-earned soul to that douchebag. Two things I liked about him were his kicking out of lobbyists and his attempts to get up close and personal with North Korea, hopefully for peaceful purposes. Besides all that, he was a careless mother****er who gave ICE the go-ahead to take peaceful unlawful immigrants out of their homes and guillotine family dynamics. He is very, very white.

Then, the border camps, which already existed out of necessity, were flooded with regular people subjected to cruel punishments. No toilet paper. No room to sleep. Look up the detainment facility population numbers. They exploded during the Trump years. That is terrible. White people don't even own this country.

Then, they pushed to backtrack Roe v. Wade and homosexuality in the military. Jeff Sessions, one of the ghouls Trump brought with him, pushed back at weed rights. This is not liberty.

If you have to ask me what can be more funny than "pokin' unhinged lefties", then your level of humor is quite limited I would say.

This is your proof? A grandfather type guy bonding with a kid? Every old person in the room would do the same thing. If it was an old lady doing the hugging, I shudder to think what you would have called her. A lesbian child molester?

Yet if it were Trump the media would be in an uproar about the unseemly behavior and so would the usual suspects on UM.

Another funny thing, lefties support violent Antfifa, offspring of RAF (and its not Royal Air Force, its Rote Armee Fraktion). And good ol' Joe decried violence only when his ratings started to drop.

And what can be more funny than de Blazio (in the wake of 'defund police') putting police officers to quard BLM mural in NY.

And what can be more funny than staunch antipolice politician calls police

This is.... Can't find the words for it... Just laughing my bum out

Won't argue with that, not very familiar with UK politics, stevewin probably have more knowledge 'bout it, nevertheless, there is huge move from left parties to more far-left side, as, for example, US dems (as per statistics).

I'm not left wing or right wing.

I'm South East wing.

Now that I think about it. I don't even have wings. Perhaps I need some red bull.

Your drawer of idiotic comments seems to be well filled but this on takes the cake. Connecting the vid with the German RAF cannot be topped in terms of BS but it proves that your knowledege about the RAF is immeasurably small.

Neat.

OT Let me ask you: when Covid-19 is danger? When BLM and climate change rallies/protests, or during antilockdown protests. What science say about it?

BTW, do you remember - Justine Damond? Would you say her name? Just out of curiocity - were antipolice protests back then?

I saw Trump speaking about that in his live address to the nation.... apparently Cuomo had indicated he won't distribute the vaccine (because Orange Man Bad I suppose)... but if he requests it - he can have it for New York.... no question of with holding it ... Trump wants New York to have it..

@RAyMO is right, Biden would be Right wing in the UK's political landscape.

under the American system even the Tory Party would be classed as far Left, and the Labour Party, bordering on communist. mind you, Labour with their militant wing under Jeremy Corbyn "momentum" even under the UK system we'd class that movement as communist.

"He doesn't trust where the vaccines are coming from," Trump went on to say about Cuomo. "[He] will have to let us know when he's ready for it, otherwise we, we can't be delivering it to a state that won't be giving it to its people, immediately. And I know many, I know the people in New York very well, I know they want it. So the governor will let us know when he's ready," he added.

So if a states review process will possibly delay the implementation and the distribution of the vaccine to its citizens then why would the federal government waste shipments of the vaccine to a state that isn't going to administer it immediately. By all means send the shipments to the states that are ready. Don't send them to a state that is probably going to warehouse them until the review is over.

That's just common sense.

Yeah but they're providing substitute counsel.  Seems the Lincoln Project posted their contact information on twitter.

Lincoln Project locked out of Twitter after group doxxed Trump campaign attorneys

The Lincoln Project temporarily lost its Twitter privileges Tuesday after the anti-Trump group shared the names and contact information of lawyers representing the president’s campaign in court.

“Here are two attorneys attempting to help Trump overturn the will of the Pennsylvanian people,” the political action committee posted on Twitter along with their pictures, phone numbers and email addresses.

“Make them famous,” The Lincoln Project said in the Twitter post, followed by an emoji depicting a skull-and-crossbones.

That Lincoln Project lot are no better than Maxine Waters when she was urging people to harass and intimidate anyone working in the Trump Administration....

Has the plot just thickened with the Skull and Crossbones thing ..... ?.....:unsure2:

I have no idea but it was inappropriate enough for twitter to suspend their account so obviously twitter came to the conclusion that it sent a particular message.
