He did quit the Republican party but he also didnt run for reelection and once the new session starts he will be retired and completely out of government. The Mueller report had years, tens of millions of dollars, dozens of lawyers, and the full weight of the Democratic party and the media behind it yet still couldnt find any real evidence of Russian collusion, there just wont be any real investigation into how it was handled. His election really didn't cause a schism in this nation. It just clarified how broken and divided we are today. I assume your jab about communism is serious. All I can say is IF you think Marxism/Socialism would be destructive to America, you are going to find it very difficult to continue to support what the Left is doing in the months and years ahead. The only real question will be how much violence and chaos they are willing to risk. If they attempt to moderate the calls for discord then perhaps that Party isn't totally rotted from within.
