^^^ good point, dems are in a hard place now,  ultra left is taking over the party,  it will be interesting to see what happens.  but that is for a different topic that no doubt will be created pretty soon.

as far as people unite, not a chance in hell, no way tds crowd will ever look  at conservatives same way as before the illness, , and vise versa,  i'm pretty sure it will only get worse,

The ultra left will not be taking over the party. The people who really run the Democratic Party are marginalizing the Leftists as we sit here.  Where is Bernie in the cabinet?  Where is AOC and her pack?   The useful idiots who voted for progressive ideals were used and will get what they deserve, NOTHING.  The Democratic Party represents the oligarchy, the corporations, Big Oil, Big Pharma, the military/industrial complex.  But what you said about things getting worse is correct.  If the Left doesn't get what they want they'll riot.  If Trump is right about large scale Democratic Party voter fraud they will riot.  There will be no coming together, no healing. The Left and Right are in a death struggle.

Massive tax hikes, more jobs moving over seas. 3 to 6 month lock down over what is to most people a common cold, will bring us closer to the Great Depression than we have ever seen. 50 million new dem voters will cross the boarder unabated, and then we will see who the Dems really are when they know their power can never be challenged.

Though I highly suspect this election isn’t over. In fact, if what I’ve heard is true, there are going to be some interesting developments over the next couple weeks.

well, when obama was elected all gun owners feared 2nd will be removed, never happened, when trump was elected,  snowflakes were coming up with an end of the world scenarios daily, but nothing happened either,  i do not think many of things we fear would materialize, but some sure will. one thing i know for sure dems\libs have no desire to fix an economy, seems like they are trying to ruin it,  and i understand why, it is a lot easier to instal  socialism when country is in depression,  you can't  use bread as a leverage when a person isn't' hungry and has plenty of his own,

It's going to be many years before the Repubs, and Trump diehards will be trusted again. The Republican party is imploding right now with most of them saying accept  the election, and move on. The bad part for them, is they know there was no wide spread cheating going on, except for their own party. Trump is dragging them down further with his rabid lies and innuendos, and bringing to light more of his dirty dealings at the same time . The more noise he makes, the more the majority will tire of his spoiled tantrums, and cast much more shade on your party.  It's leaving a bad taste in the general publics mouths.

It's definitely had an effect on Canada. Those that were emboldened by his rhetoric have gone mostly silent now. More people are wearing masks, and less prone to digging in their heels. More civilized. I think they've realised they've  made fools of themselves in Canadian eyes, and have crawled back into their holes.

Yes, some Canadians were really into Trump. That changed after a year. Now, you have a handfull of them and even denying they were pro Trump. I remeber Doug Ford being almost like Trump but Covid changed him and he turned out to be a phantastic Leader for all Ontarians and a positive example for the other parties and provinces.

My appologies for asking but how is your brother? You said he was in a bad shape from Covid.

I think nothing will change if Biden does not abuse power. In any case, the 4th amendment (Bill of Rights) https://studydriver.com/4th-amendment-and-the-bill-of-rights/ will be able to prevent the illegal seizure of property. I am glad that we live in a great country - America, where human rights are protected.

Human rights are not America's biggest strong point.  The liberty statue is out there for a reason in the harbour.   Liberty is nothing to do with freedoms.

If Trump is established as winner then yeah, all HELL will break loose.  The major difference is, as Barry once said on a hot mike "I'll have more latitude"

He might as well nationalize the Guard in the states that are allowing criminals to destroy personal property and businesses.  I get the feeling that he will break bad on those punks in the streets.  They should be treated as what they are - domestic terrorists - and neutralized by whatever force is necessary to return to the rule of law.  Gitmo may need to be expanded.

How times have changed seems like just yesterday you would make countless raving posts what you and your ilk wouldnt stand for and all doom gloom and threats of violence if your big bad orange man lost for any reason,

I recall you saying it would take force for you to abide by any law president biden passes, but your cop buddys would let you slide and be a law breaking thug.

Then after your orange bad man loses your song changed.

Now you are projecting and making up stuff but if its helping you cope with another trump fail so be it :tu:

Sure the statue is out there for a reason... Egypt didn't want her, so she got a wardrobe change and the U.S. got her instead.

Egypt knew that to rule the world the symbol had to be created by the freemasons in france where Freemasonry was rife.

Louvre Pyramids connection to Egypt

The large pyramid is 116 feet wide and 70 feet high. It is constructed of 95 tons of steel and 105 tons of aluminium. The pyramid presentations reflect the important permanent exhibition of Egyptian history and artefacts in the Louvre museum below. This great structure provides shelter from the elements outside and generates its own micro temperate climate inside. It is as a vast greenhouse.

Not that Egypt gets around.   Can't think why though????

This man has been studying for 60 years while America was watching sports, he was in the library.   Hiw knowledge is invaluable to humanity.

That's a fair load of ignorance... Egypt couldn't afford the statue project for the Suez Canal, and the Khedive wasn't a freemason. It really had nothing to do with where an artist is from relates to a statue ruling the world.

We are getting rather off topic from the OP with all this nonsense though. Let's get back on topic on how Biden's election may make changes to our lives.

Our Brit friends may get an easier trade deal from Biden than they would have from Trump.

You think so?  I recall the last time Biden was in the white house Englanders were informed they would be at the back of a long line for trade deals

My life has never really been effected by who was potus until trump which was also the first time i paid much attention to politics and that all was dumped on my plate due to trumps incompatance which wasnt an effect on me until his disastrous response to covid.

My life has only been affected by the president twice.  Both negatively, once very, very devastatingly when clinton betrayed the working class with his gift to the wealthy called NAFTA, and the other time is when I had finally found a new industry that I would be comfortable in years after being screwed by clinton, Obama gifted the large health insurance carriers with a huge increase in income by signing the economically disastrous ACA (Obamacare).  I didn't get a raise for eight years while rent and food prices soared to new heights until trump was in office and lowered taxes.  True story.  You were fine until a disease spread across the world and work in an industry that would have been shut down regardless of who was in charge.  Hopefully things will get better for you under biden.  I am not optimistic.

I expect to be taxed more and to have less money.   Not sure how much.

I have guns and usually buy another every couple years.  I expect higher prices on guns and ammo.

I expect about the same amount of division in the country.

I expect the media to throw softball questions at Biden.

Really not much else.

I expect the US to become more respected abroad and its allies to be a little bit more trusting than they have been in the last four years.

I suspect so.  Difference in personalities.  Trump is seriously competitive and has to win every encounter. President Trump took the position that everybody in the world, including Britain is taking advantage of us.

Biden is a compromiser.  Getting a deal gives him a feeling of accomplishment.  Biden also has put himself on a mission of restoring good relations and trust with our allies.  Its a good atmosphere for a deal.

Actually there was one other time that a president affected me negatively.  Watergate hearings interrupted the cartoons I would normally have been watching before school in first grade.  Man was I mad about that I'll tell you.

Well as soon as republican politicians are calling for his impeachment before he takes office or encouraging their supporters to attack people that work for his administration, or when they protest his inauguration screaming rage into the sky you'll know BDS is here.

This may derail the thread.

Which cartoons did you watch.  Underdog?  Pink Panther?  Speed Buggy?  Hong Kong Phooey?
