Could Jesus have been a woman

Assuming you begin with the belief that He existed at all, the writings that describe his life and place in the culture of the time refer to His followers calling Him "Rabbi".  He also was known as the "Son" of God.   No record at all of women Rabbis at that time.  Just curious, have you found some source that makes that claim or is this just curiosity?

Papameter's reading near perfect zero on this one. This was well before women's liberation.

well there is no clues that I am aware of that might support this.

Wasn't the culture of the judaic religion to segregate men and women during worship?  And the romans, who perpetrated the story of Jesus, were a misogynist society so, No.  If Jesus were a woman it would be a completely different story.

Isn't the very name 'Jesus' a variation of Joshua/Joseph?

Not many ladies were named that.

Who is that?

Oh i see it now some mid 13/14 or even 1500s painting of the idea of what Jesus looked like, bit racist dont you think to presume and force a colour notion on the world dont you think.

I see the whole thing as a story about how men wanted full domination and control of all peoples, the very idea of one man being the son of a God is weak in my opinion.

I agree, which is why the idea that all men and women being the sons of God, is strong.

No Gods no Jesus, all men and women are equal under the stars and of this earth. Suppression via male egos and fear dont wash any longer.
