Active shooter at Mayfair Mall in Wisconsin

Emergency services are responding to a shooting with multiple victims at the Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, local officials and witnesses say. The mall and nearby schools are on lockdown but few details are available.

The incident began just before 3 p.m. on Friday when officers were called for an active shooter situation at the mall, about 7 miles northwest of Milwaukee. Witnesses said the shooting happened in the area of Macy’s.

First I'm hearing of this. As of these reports, the shooter is still at large. Multiple injuries but none seem to be life threatening. No fatalities. They still had nothing official from police. This has a live link. They are expecting a news conference soon.

The gunman wounded 7 adults and 1 teenager according to police. All 8 were taken to the hospital. Witnesses described the shooter as a white male in his 20's or 30's. Police are working on identifying the shooter. Police said they don't know if the shooter is still in the mall.

The last video is the update. Police said the mall is secured and the shooter was not inside. Police say they believe the shooting was the result of a fight.

A 15 yr old has been arrested in connection with the shooting. Police said there was an altercation between two groups of people.

Here's another accounting of the arrest. Several others have been arrested also but nothing has been released about them. Police said some of the injured were also involved in the two groups that had the confrontation.
