Bioterrorists trick scientists to make Virus

Cyber security researchers uncovered an online attack that tricks scientists into creating toxic chemicals or deadly viruses in their own labs.

A team from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev found bioterrorists can infect an 'unwitting' biologist's computer with malware and easily replace a short sub-string of the DNA in the code with a new sequence.

Well, yes, if someone can infect a computer with malware, then they could make almost any conceivable change. They could cause airplanes to crash, nuclear power stations to melt down, and Cabbages to be replaced with Aubergines. (possibly the worst-case scenario of the three). There is little new here. The thing is that sensitive computers should be kept offline.

Yes the main system is kept off line, however the system that DNA orders are sent to must be online. So the trick to the situation is to embed the malware so that it can't be detected through virus scans which will also allow the DNA order to make it past the Firewall. Now if that happens, and it can, then the Main Off Line system can be contaminated. 

That's why there are different levels of hackers, some dont have the ability and others can break through firewalls at the NSA!!
