Singapore trekker claims Monkey Man sighting

An intriguing photo that popped up on social media earlier this week may show a legendary Bigfoot-like cryptid said to reside in Singapore. Reportedly posted on the Facebook page The NightRaiders, which is a group of individuals who explore locations in Singapore during the overnight hours, the image in question was said to have been taken at a nature preserve known as Drongo Trail. According to the post featuring the picture, their equipment specialist was testing some new devices in the jungle location when they spotted something rather strange and snapped a quick photograph.

In the image, the outline of what appears to be a rather sizeable bipedal creature can be seen standing next to a tree. Given the location where the photo was taken, some suspect that the oddity could be a legendary cryptid known as the Bukit Timah Monkey Man or BTTM for short.

When a picture of an alleged whatever requires a shopped in arrow circle etc to direct me to it and i still would only being trying to be nice if i said oh yeah i see it too, then just how epic can it really be?

Google how big Singapore is, then for reference, draw a circle to scale ratio radius around your house on a map. 

When I tell people all over the world, even those who visited Singapore before, how small it actually is, they don't believe me.

I think there was nothing, no cryptid or other animal  to be seen in the original photo. To me it looks like 'something' was added to the original photo.

There certainly seems to be something in the image, but it's too dark to tell what it is.

Does look kind of like the basic outline of a gorilla, though.

Singapore is in the top 5 for most densely populated countries. A quick google of this drongo trail area and it tells me that an unknown species of primate living there is beyond impossible.

This tiny park is nestled in between condominiums and the city’s golf courses. Surrounded by all sides by massive population. Think of a smaller Central Park in New York.

Has anyone Googled Bukit Timah where this sighting was discovered? 

It is a national reserve park that is approximately 2.5 km x 1.5 km. 

To put that into context, Central Park is 4 km x 1 km. 

In other words, the "forests of Bukit Timah" where this legend is hiding, is a little over half the size of Central Park. 

It would take 100 people, spaced 15 meters apart, a little over half an hour to cover the entire region at a slow, methodical pace.

Actually having lived there for 7 years, I noticed that there is quite a bit of wooded (jungle) area in Singapore, especially on the western end. Bukit Timah is very close to the Singapore zoo. If anything that thing in the pic looks like an orangutan, perhaps escaped from the zoo or night safari.

Could be a zoo escapee if the area is close to the zoo. Big foot is different .Why, because for hundreds of years Native Americans have talked about creatures like BigFoot, Wendigos, Skinwalkers etc. Never have heard of this guy.
