Gargantuan chunk of 'cosmic web' discovered.

Astronomers believe this cosmic web is a vestige of the early universe, when big clouds of gas grew denser and denser as their gravity drew more and more matter toward them. Today, these galaxy clusters are the largest known structures in the universe, each one containing hundreds or thousands of individual galaxies and billions of stars.

Those clusters are easy enough to see with good telescopes; but the long, wispy roads — or "filaments" — between them, however, are much harder to detect. Now, using a powerful X-ray telescope, astronomers believe they've taken one of the clearest images of a filament ever — or at least one of the longest.

We used to believe the "Space" between the galaxies was quite void and dark. It turns out that it is not.

It is fascinating how these macrostructures exist and tie it all together, giving a glimpse into how galaxy formation works.

And it boggles the mind their size and their nature which vastly surpasses our wildest imagination.

You here is interesting fact many never think about, the photo in link is more than very similar to how the is human connected with either the nerves system or arteries and blood vessels. If you were to take a diagram of the body where all arteries and blood vessels or the nerves system are represented, next to the photo graph it the link it becomes very startling. This is just my opinion, but it appears that the design of the universe  and all living things have a similar Blue Print and if is true the implications are astounding.

Thanks for your comments and I agree with you completely. For me this stuff never gets old.
