It's nice of all these guys to take pictures and post it for us to see, I must say.

They'll soon be taking more pictures with numbers etc.. before being sent to jail.

Trump did exactly like I said he would do in another thread. He told them I feel your pain, but it's time to go home. He didn't denounce them like everybody else has.

That's not a coup. It's a protest. Yes, it is still a 'protest' even if you don't riot, burn, loot, and destroy businesses.

Senator Buck R Colorado is talking now about how they reacted when they heard people trying to get on the House floor. They blocked the doors with furniture. Maybe that's why they were dropping down into the Senate.

There's a photo here of the blocked door and guys with pistols drawn.

This will be a hated comment but I hope every single member of congress feels a little less insulated from the people they work for than they did this morning. Right or wrong, they needed a trip back down to earth.

Well, Frump didn't have to attempt fraud ....

But one thing for sure, Russia and China are absolutely loving Frump and his monkeys at the moment ..... Best thing they have seen in decades. The USA as a credible country is no more. Frump has done what no nuclear war could have ever achieved.

Trump was the last best hope this nation had for prosperity.  At least for the next few generations.  Hopefully Trump will run again for 2024 (or a handpicked surrogate).  But if you think Russia and China are giddy now.  Just wait for Bidet to make a mess of things.

I agree F3SS. Wrong it is but Congress needed a reality check.

Regarding Presidential authority to utilize the National Guard:

“However, the president does have the authority to take command away from the governors and put the Guard into federal service under “Title 10,” the section of the U.S. code that covers the armed forces. The president could try to do this by using one of the federal mobilization authorities, but this requires a declaration of emergency, such as was made after the attacks of 9/11. The president could try to declare an emergency for domestic disturbances, but the statutory language clearly envisions an overseas emergency, and governors would immediately challenge this in court.

That brings us to the Insurrection Act. This old statute allows the president to take control of the National Guard in certain circumstances: “Whenever the President considers that unlawful obstructions, combinations, or assemblages, or rebellion against the authority of the United States, make it impracticable to enforce the laws of the United States in any State by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings, he may call into Federal service such of the militia of any State, and use such of the armed forces, as he considers necessary to enforce those laws or to suppress the rebellion.”

This statement was ment to draw attention from the treasonous, terrorist acts committed today. Trump just made things ten thousand times worse for the GOP. As a party, they are done. Call it a prediction. Every single one I've made in the last four years has come to pass. Take from that what you will.

Yup, that's Trump country. Anarchism, blackmail, force and terror. This is all on Trump. Hope they lock him up!

Exactly Odas. I hope they lock him up as soon as he leaves the white house. What a disgrace he is and in my opinion he is fully responsible for this and if, god forbid, people die because of this he has blood on his hands :(

They said there's still a few hundred people at the Capitol. The inside of the Capitol has been secured but more police have come in to clear the outside grounds.

I withdraw this statement. It was made in haste, and I apologise to preacherman. Time to calm down.

I don't think you're right here Hanky. Media isn't trashing the Republicans at all either. There were a handful that were going to oppose the vote and Pence and McConnell wasn't among them. It's all on Trump.

Because lies have never held power before, right?

You're looking at the consequences of your freedom to lie right now. The woman's death is on YOUR head.

Own it. Along with everyone else who encouraged and enabled this.

The MSM has been lying about the widespread fraud that stole the election.

And the Trump appointed judges as well as the Supreme Court?  Are they in on it too?  Or, could it be that maybe, just maybe, they threw out the cases due to lack of evidence, BECAUSE THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE?

Thank you for accepting it. I felt terrible after I said it. I guess we're just mirroring what's happening outside now.
