Near collision with 'UFO' caught on cam

Recommended Posts

The Singapore Airlines flight was heading to Zurich Airport, Switzerland, on 17 January.

At some point between 7.30am and 7.50am, the unnamed passenger had turned on their camera in preparation to record the plane's landing into Zurich, but was surprised when he captured what he believes was a near collision with a UFO.

In the clip, we see lakes and fields of the distant Swiss landscape, before the aircraft begins to tilt to the right.

Looks like a drone, possibly a bird or balloon. The plane whipped past it so fast there's no way to tell, whatever it is could be sitting near still in the sky, the plane is doing all the moving.

Yes, it's either faked, or it's .. something, as per moonman's suggestions..

That is my complete analysis.  :D

The audio seems weird for some reason, it sounds like a layer over the original, I mix songs and audio every week, there's something about the acoustics that sounds off to me but who knows right?

A quick hunt around the Interwebs suggest that this is very likely fake.  The questions are:

- why did the focus change suddenly to be focused on NOTHING in the scene? (and why did the plane bank - ignoring the audio)

- why on earth would the pilot turn towards the object?  (and that is a slow turn, not an emergency evasion)

- why didn't the camera person go into brace position as told to?

- where is the original?

- they claim it was an A350 - which matches Singapore Airlines flights at that time and date, yet the wings are wrong

- is that really Zurich on that date?  the colors don't seem right to locals

- the object looks a lot like it is simply an overlaid featureless blob, easy to do in any video effects editor..

Looks, smells and quacks like a fake duck.
