That's huge ! Don't know how much pressure they apply on the ground ? Paws are probably big to distribute the weight but it would be interesting to see a graph for different sauropod sizes.

Did I tell you about the brontosaurus I saw in another thread?  Small, dainty feet but massive snowshoes.  He gets really cross if you call them paws.

Why does it have to be a new species?  Maybe it's a bigger chap from the same family.  After all the difference between the tallest and shortest humans is immense, but we're all the same species.  Aren't we?

In fairness though - from that photos the new find looks absolutely enormous.  Until you realise they only employ employ dwarves for archaeology, because they're really good at digging.  The yellow match stick to the left gives a good idea of the scale.
